As Mark was leaving the studio he saw a hooded figure hiding in the bushes. As he was driving home a car being driven by the same mysterious figure began tailgating him. Just as he got home the car had disappeared. That night Mark stepped outside and the figure came running at him. They removed their hood and it was Barbara to say she was out.

Most people completely overlook the fact that the sharks dont have any involvement once the deals done (if its actually finalized which only around 2/3 seem to be). The sharks are mostly completely detached financial investors, any involvement they do have is via proxy of whoever they assign to look over the business. These guys have hundreds, if not thousands, of employees over dozens of businesses. Non stop meetings, conference calls, flights, emails, squeezing in family time... you think theyre finding the time to check on a paper straw company they made a deal with in 2009? Or a edible soap bar in 2014? We forget about most of the pitches we see when we're halfway through the next vid, im sure its even worse for the sharks watching 9 or 10 back to back in the same day while thinking about all their other business responsibilities. Also the final mediation with the deals are taken care of by their lawyers, they dont even meet with the entrepreneurs a second time (unless its for some special filming/follow up). The sharks really dont have any personal input in the business outside of money and assigning personnel. There was a really interesting candid vid with Mark explaining most of this but has since been taken down since the show is so popular now and i guess it ruins the illusion a little bit.

How long do you think 600K will last? It's a niche product, it's eventually going to lose steam. The key here is being able to grab a UCLA diploma with no debt. Running a business is not easy, and it comes with a significant amount of overhead. He can get himself a job that will pay him 200K for the next 30 years. 600K is not a lot of money in the grand scheme of life.

You do not need school. We are taught to put ourselves thousands/hundreds of thousands in debt, with very little return on that investment. It is highly dependent of whether or not he himself finds value from it. Since he’s not going into debt, he has the opportunity to experience it worry free while also developing more acumen on business or whatever he might what to venture into. His business has generated a decent amount of income, but due to its niche nature, it will eventually need to be moved on from. College allows for networking, personal exploration, development of new or existing acumen and many more. 600k is good, but what makes it great is learning to reinvest the money and grow further because the money alone won’t last him forever.

Damen's comment saying he has cash already and isn't willing to do $200,000 since he asked for $150,000 thinking a 17 year old's expectations of his amount of capital needed and everything is a terrible sounding mentor for his new and upcoming business lol.

Remember the popularity of fidget spinners? Fads change all the time. You just never know how long a trend will last, not to mention dealing with your competitors. School may or may not be his best option. It really depends on what he plans to study and the quality of the program. He may be able to apply the valuable knowledge he has learned in school to his other business ventures. If he continues to profit $300k per year, he will have plenty of money left after paying for college expenses.

Umm...so arent they just slimes? Its great dont get me wrong...but yeh Also i dont think he needed investements just as stated because he literally is doing well and an investment at an early stage when he is doing better than anyone would expect.. The main reason i say this is cause I'd not give 20% of my company when i dont need the money at an early stage
