She literally grew up a multi-millionaire and tried to play the angle of humble beginnings. I wonder where their capital, financial safety net and time allocated for them both to work full time in this business came from LOL

Agreed. She didn't have to throw that in. She was looking for sympathy and they painted themselves as something they aren't. If we saw this in the edited version (these can take up to 90 minutes in real time) I'm sure the sharks also saw right through it. Kevin realizes he's got plenty of time to do his due diligence before actually writing a check, so he can back sure what they said was legit. IMO their valuation was unreasonable. Just cause a product starts off hot, and will inevitably see a surge in growth after the show, doesn't mean it'll be able to sustain those numbers long term.

They have sales, but I fail to understand how they got there. I have camping chairs with cup holders for $30 that are amazingly confortable! + I would much rather have a real umbrella than whatever that was… not to be negative, but I don’t see an improvement here. My beach set up is : -back pack -umbrella -chair -cooler After watching this, I’ll still pick my set up over theirs.

so.......no one is gonna talk about how $200 for a beach chair is ridiculous?

What do you guys want him to do. Nothing he can say to bring her father back.. They are strangers asking for a million dollars, we all have sadness in our lives but if you ask for a million the investor needs to see how they will get it back.

Yup it was literally lower than what they were originally asking. And Kevin isn't guaranteed anymore than what he put it in. I'm glad the deal fell through after the show aired.

Considering 60% of their chairs sell with those accessories with good margins I think a royalty deal is better for them and they give up less equity and what I think is a pretty good product.

Seeing what happened after the show Kevin did not continue with the deal and even so the company grew well, something that I think he must have regretted, I would say.

The Sunflow chair is an all-in-one beach gear that takes care of this problem. The couple Leslie Hsu and Greg Besner made the product, and they got a deal with Kevin O'Leary on Shark Tank. As of 2022, Sunflow is worth $16 million

How often do they tell entrepreneurs off for haggling over 5 or 10% yet this guy haggles over 1-2% and it's OK.
@LoganWilsonVlogs2 жыл бұрын
All depends on the business. When sales are this high, this soon. The couple percent does make a difference. These guys are valuable to the sharks. But When a business needs a whole re-face or tons of work to make it profitable enough, 5% is a super small amount to negotiate and the sharks are more valuable.
