So, my wife made plans for me to be on a double-date with some friends, but I got permission to hit the river anyway. I just had to be home by 3pm. The first spot was a very narrow stretch of gravel that had collected along the river bad in a long path. Following that path I found 3 near identically sized megalodon teeth of a significant size from 3.61 to 3.80 inches long. It is impossible to tell if they are associated and that would be epically rare, but the sizes were right for it. I moved back to a spot I had previously been at a couple weeks before where I had found my first gomphothere tooth. AGAIN, I found another gomphothere tooth which is extremely likely to be associated with the first. This is an extremely rare Florida fossil that I wasn't sure if I would find in my lifetime (whole) and in just a few weeks I had 2! Then to end the day, I found a massive tooth over 5 inches long and over 4 inches wide. Due to the width I call it my big booty tooth. Finding that tooth was just incredible as the big ones are incredibly rare here and I've been blessed with 2 over 5 out of the river.
