When Pau says "Open the pit!", you OPEN THE FREAKIN' PIT! This festival is held yearly in Poland and admission is free, with over 400,000 attending. The gals came on at midnight after a full day of other bands, and the crowd at the stage had dwindled down to maybe 70,000 (!!). By the time their set was over, others had showed up. There's no good head count for the size by the end of the set, but some estimates put it at least 120,000. Probably the largest audience they have ever played for. "Evolve" was their closer for this set. If you react to it (you really, really, really should) let the video run through their goodbye bow. This crowd gives our favorite chicas an EPIC send-off. 🤘😎⚡

The crowd shouts “Napierdalać”, which is generally a curse word, but at concerts one often hears such chanting and in this context, it means more or less "hit the f***ing hardest!"

"This is a very Bass-Heavy song." Dead on; but to get how intense the Wall of Sound these 3 remarkable women create you must see "Sharks" live. Seeing Sharks live is insane; Pau's and Dani's vocals, and drumming and guitaring, are fantastic, but Ale's Bassline is sublime. Ale's subharmonics shook my whole body so intensely my blood/ bones vibrated; Ale caused the entire concert hall I saw Sharks performed in to quake. It was so intense I was sure Ale would bring the whole building down. A fantastic song; even by The Warning's sky-high standards. (Love how thrilled Pau is yelling "Open The Pit": everyone moves, as if Pau's voice physically moves them). Ale's voice is very pretty; yet Ale sings such dark lyrics so sweetly she's scary. Thanks for the great reaction.

Indeed, when I saw The Warning in Dublin last July, Sharks was the highlight of the night, with Ale's bass line shaking the venue to its foundations. It was awesome! And makes Sharks my favourite live track for the present. I can't wait to see them again in April -- and hopefully experience Sharks again!

LOL You feel the music for certain. It's the combo of Ale and Pau shaking the world. She uses the lowest "B- string" of her five-string bass on this song. FYI (if anyone is interested) In standard tuning, the natural fundamental of that has a frequency of 31Hz. The low E on a four-string bass (the next open string on a five-string bass) is 41.2Hz. I believe in this song, they are tuned to drop A, which is 27.5Hz on a five-string.

​@@elgonwilliams7624plus Anton built a loop that has that drop that shakes my house when playing this. I have 4 12" sub drivers with 3k watts of amplifiers. You need this to get the overpressure. Realistically 1 in a thousand people will be able to play this correctly at home - you have to be a nut to spend this much. Or a real movie nut I guess since movie special effects do this. But anyway, thanks Anton for going the extra mile. Thanks DPA for playing it. You guys hearing live get the full force of it. There is no substitute for many 18" subdrivers with a 100k watts of amplifiers moving that much air at a festival. It literally hits you in the chest. That initial hit made my ears light up like a dog seeing a squirrel. Turn it up!

This rocketed up to be my favorite song by The Warning the first time I listened to it. It definitely seems to take some inspiration from nu metal like Linkin Park, and I love that stuff, so I'm all for it. In the Track by Track video for Sharks, Pau explained that the song started with her creating a drum loop and bass synth on a MIDI keyboard. The sound reminded her of sharks, which inspired the track's concept of being constantly judged and pressured, likened to being attacked by sharks while being told not to bleed. Pau shared that she initially intended to sing the entire song but found it too taxing due to her extensive vocal duties during touring. She ended up taking the verses, with Dany covering the choruses. The song's complex rhythms made it challenging to play live, with Ale calling it her most difficult track. Pau mentioned looking forward to performing the track at heavy rock festivals, imagining it as the perfect song to open up a pit.

That time is coming. Filling 30,000 seats at the Auditorio Nacional ought to open larger venues and higher festival placement for their tours later in the year. The way things are going they might have their first stadium headliner by the end of the year or early next year.

Sharks at the Wacken Festival which preceded Poland on same tour has just now been released (saw it on a facebook post but not on KZbin yet) has much better sound quality and is very similar to this festival as Pau also requests that the pit be opened! *Sharks* to me this track seems to be another one about social media and possibly also certain well known industries... "sharks" gather around all the makers, influencers, and artists waiting on them to mess up or put out something the "sharks" can shred to pieces... maybe these "sharks" do this tearing down of others as a way to try to build themselves up? idk but yes, there are and have been shark-like people in every communications platform i have seen and participated in over the last 40+ years... Ale's bass is so menacing, predatory, and fearsome... like the bass in the soundtrack of "Jaws" but so much more rhythmic and deep 🤯 that bass really stands out and drives so many of these new tracks relentlessly... LOCURA! sonically, this track is perfect in its depiction of this ugly aspect of our society... how do i feel about this track? That's my only problem with the concert Pau's vocals could have been a little louder. Otherwise it sounded awesome.

You could hear the FOH struggling with their sound all night. Especially with the slapback from Pau's drums. Overall they did a great job, but Pau's vocals were a bit weak at times.

That's false. A reactor did a livestream of the full concert the last week. That livestream video after it was shown was taken down. Then the reactor has to fight to keep that video up.

Great reaction. However, I'm a little bit surprised that you didn't mentioned the obvious when you talked about prerecorded vocal tracks; the percussion track when Pau herself where standing up and "orchestrating" the public. It's absolutely fine by me with prerecordings, especially those that are obvious and not "hidden". Just saying.
