I think its insane that Kevin even made an offer. Its a product of couple of buttons, bluetooth chip and a battery in a rubber casing that Chinese can make for $4-5 and sell it for $15-20 and these guys are asking for $80.

There are so many competitors that are in that price range that even at that price it's a big gamble of you get your money back. At 79 dollars you must have to much money if you buy this instead of the 20 dollar competition.

This would be awesome if it was for the shower. I can't tell you how many times I have had people interupt me while showering or terrible things come up on shuffle. However, it would need to be max $30 and waterproof

The functionality could be achieved at that price point, but the company couldn't survive at those margins and they would need to make it so cheap it wouldn't even be water resistant.

Voice automation like Alexa is not a direct competitor to this. You can't rely on that in rough places in tbe middle of a noisy mountain, doing heavy industry or fishing in a storm. They have very different use cases

It won’t scale, with technology advancing everyday etc, for example AirPods you can control the volume, stop, increase the volume with Siri, in other words it will be crushed, even the consumer doesn’t have enough money to afford expensive AirPods from Apple there other varieties of headphones/AirPods that function the same; if it came out in 2010 yes it would be “ revolutionary” but we’re currently living in 2023
