Start-ups generally don't pay people in her position like managers, CFO, etc in straight cash, it's usually at least part equity because they don't have the funds in the early days of the business to afford someone outside at that level. Dude's just being exploiting his sister for cheap labor.

Asking for only 10% of the company when she had a great chance to ask for more cuz all the sharks were really supportive towards her, shows how much she cared about her brother and the cause but not the shares of the company. He seems really worried when they asked HER how much she want to own the company 😂. Do the producers of the show not ever try to knock some reality into the valuations before letting people in the tank? Like this was a compelling business doing something innovative but they came in with such an absurd that they never really were going to get a deal. This happens so often in Shark tank where a company comes in and gives themself like a 10x on a company that is worth like a 1.5x at most.
