Hey, can you explain me one thing, during negotiation, when equity and Ask changes then why does whole company's valuation also changes, I've already saw the formula of valuation and equity on google, but I don't understand one thing that the valuation of company should be the same how can i change from 20 Cr to 30 Cr during negotiation??

@@Ciscowells Suppose you have a company with 100% equity with yourself. Now you are asking me 1 crore for 1% of your company, so that means if I buy your whole company, then I have to give you 100 crore, right? So this 100 crore is the valuation of the company. If I’m giving you an offer of 1 crore for 1.5% of your company, then that means to buy 100% equity. Now I have to pay only 75 crore, so this is how the valuation increases or decreases with respect to changes in ask or counter offers! I hope this helps!

Market valuation will could be higher or lower based on goodwill, growth rate, turnovers and many more factors. So that’s when when someone asks for investment he uses his own calculation of growth rate, goodwill and all, while investors uses his own research to calculate the value. Generally they asks in multiple times of company’s net assets. So reducing valuation as per investor is no biggie

bro company khud guranteed 25 crore ka karegi sales this year plus they did say that they are opening more stores and also their seasonal good sales period is upcoming so they will indeed do anywhere from 30-35 crore sales so his counter offer of 1 cr for 3% is best... if he wants help then he should have gone for 1 cr for 4% at the most but these sharks are giving 10-15 and then finally 20 crore valuation for an already on track 30 crore business... plus shark tank pe toh valuation as per current year's track record se bhi 2x ya 3x times pe milte hain he did say they will open 28 more stores, and well chalo problem aayegi ki zyada kholne pe new challenges aayenge... but entrepreuner vella thodi betha hai, karlega figure out, plus sharks se deal kisliye karne aaya hai phir?? madad hi toh chahiye I think the final counter offer of 1 cr at 3% was the best counter offer and very reasonable the sharks sticking at 5% at all costs were just there to earn money i guess... good that this guy rejected the offer perhaps sharks gave him this offer thinking "12th dropout hai kya hi karlega yeh" but i think these sharks (if they thought like this) thought in a very wrong way... bande ne pehle saal main 6 crores ka kiya and then now 30 crores issi track se chala toh bhai aaram se 100 crore toh paar hi hai 1-2 saal main idk why these sharks were behaving like this... they were underestimating this guy... good that he said "NAHI" on their face and also good that Namita and Piyush respected his self confidence Sharks koi rocket engine nahi ki laga diya toh bann gaya sab kuch, literally 40% hi deals close hoti hain on camera and unme bhi 50% hi toh total 20% deals shown on TV are closed in real life, unme se bhi kayi saare entrepreuners toh jhoot bolte hain, and numbers hide karte hain, unrealistic valuation dete hain, and over time fail ho jaate hain Sharks ko yahi sab manage karke paise kamane main lagg jaayenge bahut saare mahine, toh soch lo per company ko kitna hi time denge... plus inka khud ka bhi brand hai hi... its nice that this Cheesecake guy knew his own worth and rejected the deal... well done as per me, as per the show's general trend and also on top of it, this guy being a genuine honest entrepreneur plus able to do so much in just 2 years, makes him deserve a 50 cr valuation so 1 cr for 2% is what was MORE appropriate :) still 3% was a great deal "for the sharks" but sharks were just being greedy trying to trick this man thinking "arey yeh toh anpadh hai 12th dropout hai yeh kya hi karlega" sharks just wanted to earn money and nothing more, tabhi faaltu debt de rahe the that too at 15%
