@@kiow7555 not at all the paithani that we get in local market is not made on handloom and the traditional patterns of ashawali, mor-bangdi and other peshwai period motifs that are now only made on commission and are absolutely stunning. The addition of peacock pattern on paithani are not even 100 year old and originally the peacock was not even on pallu and was only woven in border, thee are many styles of paithani that are not even woven now like garbha reshmi paithani, Muslin paithani and many more. So think before saying it overhyped its not at all overhyped the thing is that people are not at all aware of the traditional weaves in paithani.

Okay just for people who are so upset because this is season is like becoming like another shows on indian television especially because ashneer isn't here to bash people, and be brutally honest etc etc. Most pitches in this show are just a reflection of our country as a vibrant, emotional and slowly progressive society. When women buy traditional wear we mostly spend more money because expensive traditional wear gives more comfortable and classy look wearing it. I think this Saree can become huge with proper marketing. I'm from Assam I have seen girls wearing traditional attire for 30k, 50k for simple occasions. Handloom is expensive because it takes lots extensive labour and I think most women who loves traditional attire understand that.😊

It's such a shame that the new generations (genz) is not into handlooms, fabrics, heritage, artefacts, etc. I love knowing about all these things, always visit handloom exhibitions, rather obsessed about art and culture. I really really really wish that these markets in our country never dies. It will be one of the biggest loss. I request every single viewer here, to visit various handloom exhibitions happening in the cities or even visit fabric/ saree weaving centres; believe me you will be left awestruck and fascinated. This is our daily earnings and we live by only this business. So much of time , hardwork and dedication to make a perfect saree.
