I don't know if you will read this comment, but I wanted to share with you about the free government Korean class. I have been taking them so this is my personal experience. First, they are very hard to get into the one you want. Classes cap at 20 or 30 students and the wait list caps at only 3. The reason they tell you not to miss a class is because if you miss more than 20 hours you wont be allowed to even sit for the final exam for that level. As someone who works full time and thus doesn't have a flexible schedule getting into specific classes is important to me. It can be really frustrating to think that someone else took a spot in a class I wanted and then quit. Case in point, my class last semester started with 25 students, only 13 sat for the final exam. You can't change locations or join a class after it has started so if people drop out, that is that. I know it seems like a great opportunity because they are free, but if you can't make the commitment please don't join a weekend class. They are by far the most sought after because those of us that work regular full time jobs can't attend the other classes on the weekdays.

I did a summer Japanese language course but I got too sick and couldn’t attend. I also had to take more shifts at work to support my family. It wasn’t a free course and my lecturer was sad I had to leave. 👩🏻‍🏫 She felt I had good potential. Life gets in the way sometimes but all we can do is our best. Things happen for a reason it’s all about timing. I’ve never had a bubble tea 🍵 I want one.

I got my sun parasol in a Tokyo metro station for fairly cheap when I was there a few summers ago. I’m pretty sure it was used but it had a cute lacy edging and an embroidered cat on it so it had to be mine! I’m sure you will find one for you soon. They really are a life saver in the summer sun in the city.

For KIIP, I think there is an 80% attendance rate before you're told to take the class over again. They're really intense (9am to 5/6pm with an hour lunch break) and your whole Saturday is sucked out the window because of them. But you learn so much in those Saturdays, it's crazy! Make sure to study vocabulary on your own though, because that's the one thing they really glaze over in the book. :\ It's kind of annoying. Best of luck if you do the classes! I should pick them back up again but the thought of being stuck in a classroom for that long again....

My cats eat the Natural Balance dry food and then every other night they split a can of the one with Mackerel. It's a plastic container and not a metal can. I get it on Chewy.com. They really like it. :)

Greg, In Florida my grandmother would always make us hot foods, and we would drink room temperature water, because the hot food would make you skin cooler. This coming from a woman that would not turn on the A/C, but she also lived close the the beach of the Gulf of Mexico. That is how I learned how to deal with heat, but I like hot temperatures.
