You would have surely been appalled at this foul mouthed individual’s banter between songs at an outdoor, family ‘Summer Concert’ in Hamilton, Aotearoa/ New Zealand, yesterday. I’d never heard of Sharleen SPITeri until I heard this inane and disgraceful language was heard way beyond the fenced perimeter of the outdoor arena. Who needs to hear blaring across a neighbourhood the F word being dropped as a verb prefixing Jesus Christ and, even more offensively, the sandwiching of the F word as a verb between the M and the G of OMG?? Clearly she was struggling to glean the adoration and respect from her audience that she might have been used to in the past. I was glad to hear her say she was ‘off to Australia tomorrow’. She really needs to just do what she does best and that’s sing. That’s all.
