1. Do the prints fade? Yes. Usually pocket printers brands/companies are very much open this fact. They actually sell paper and sticker rolls with an estimated retention time, some 1, 3, 5, 10 and more years before they fade. Usually the longer the retention the more pricey the paper roll.
2. If it fades, why even use it? Wellp, this part is really a prefence situation. I personally use the short term rolls for quick shopping and to-do lists and notes. The long retention papers/stickers are the ones I dare to use on my journal pages. Do understand that heat/temperature plays a factor in the fading of the prints.
3. Which pocket printer is the best? Each printer is different and every app has a variety of features. Hello. Their own labels are very expensive. There are labels of the same size for less than half the price on the internet. I wonder if it will print on these?

i've tried swapping labels between brands both on purpose and sometimes by accident 😅 in my experience swapping between branded thermal printers (paperang, phomemo, nimbot, etc.) there isn't much issue in the print quality. i have a bin of the rolls so i just reach in and grab whatever. but i also purchased the generic ones online, unfortunately that little experiment cost me. i now have three rolls of cheaper thermal paper rolls i cant use. it gave a burnt or off smell when i would print and the images came out very pixelated and dark. i don't know if it will work with other generic rolls, but looking for a cheaper alternative for myself has been a bust. 😕
