I wished I would've discovered this amazingly talented band with a great vocalist and whoever wrote Bittersweet , Pale and a slew of others far sooner than 3 months ago...the music in America isn't getting better and hasn't for 20 yrs, while tremendous bands like Within Temptation aren't promoted very well

That type of music just isn't very popular in the US... they're huge in Europe. I kind of like the fact that they are relatively unknown in the US even if they deserve to be bigger here. But I've gone to see 4 of bands I like in LA, all from the European Metal scene and... it's awesome being in a small club up so close to them because they play in such small venues. In Europe, I'd be lucky to be able to see them with binoculars unless you pay the premium price or something. But yeah they deserve to be bigger here. But I'm really digging the small venues and such. I just bought VIP tickets for Kamelot in LA and usually it's like maybe 1500 people at the very most at these shows. A meet in greet here, plenty of more time to talk with members and it always feels a lot more personal here than the sold out huge shows they play for in europe. I'm thankful these bands take the time to even bother with the US though considering how unknown most of these bands are over here.

I always find it interesting how bands like Evanescence and Linkin Park have huge presence in America while WT deserves just as much as well, but I think it's because they are European and that will always hold them back in America no matter what. They are very niche genre and fans are specialized and devoted.
