One of my earliest memories is a friend of my father’s giving me an amp for my first electric guitar, and him saying “listen to Betty blowtorch and don’t tell your dad I told you to do so” and I’ve been a huge fan since. This was probably 14 years ago. So glad to see this interview ❤️

Today, in my car, lunch-break in December, listened to my Betty Blowtorch cd. Reading along with the lyrics. Then reading their bios. My 4th time listening to the entire cd. I’ve always blasted the first song, for a year, in my car, when the happy mood is upon me 😛 A powerful fast cd. Reminds me as if The Ramones had daughters.

Another Huntington Beach person who moved to Hollywood. Years earlier Toni Childs did the same, first as lead singer for Berlin (Berlin has had 3 lead singers), then with her group Toni & the Movers (which featured Jack Sherman who later became a Red Hot Chili Pepper) and finally her own solo career that included recording at Peter Gabriel's Real World.

so glad to see this group get at least .....some due. Only discovered them in the past 5-6 years, from Pandora. IMO, the most underrated band of the 90s! Even now, I hear songs like Shrinkwrap , I've never heard before, and think, this song absolutely sounds like a hit, how was it not released? Anyway, keep their memory alive, and thanks so much Sharon for sharing your memories with everyone!

Sharon is an icon in the punk rock music scene, great interview minus the comparison to the Go-Go's and Jane and Sharon Needles the drag queen, Sharon was "Sharon Needles" when the drag queen was still in diapers, but anywoo glad to see her share memories of this great band that should have been bigger, and I can honestly say her and Judy, are two of the nicest people in the world.

This was a great Band, Just found out about them about 6 mnths ago( I'm in Canada) A stupid thought i had as cool tribute to Bianca and Band would be a 1 off show with Courtney Love singing.

Honor your commitments and pay Sharon and Judy for putting the van and trailer on THEIR credit cards and paying the insurance. Only mistake was not dropping the gear that wasn't theirs in the hotel room before hitting the road.
