Leonard Cohen together with Bob Dylan were the reason to dedicate my life to music. I never was aware of Sharon until Spotify played “Everyone knows” on Mix of the week. This touched me so much that tears came to my eyes. I downloaded everything of her I was able to get my hands on. Her voice and her songs the way she sings them hit the bottom of my heart. I didn’t know she was connected to Leonard Cohen, I didn’t know these songs were made 20 years ago. Actually it sort of molests me to see this artist in the shadow of Leonard Cohen because it makes her gift look smaller than it is. Leonard is a thing of my past, nostalgia. Sharon is timeless also in a musical sense. I hope I will get to see her with a band.
