These are kind of scenes I missed so much in season 4 - really hope more of these make the cut in season 5. Even if the story isn't so Sharon/Rusty centric anymore, they're still really warm, amusing scenes.

I am the only one here who is not surprised by this scene ? I honestly was pretty sure Sharon and Andy has already "done it" before his clot accident (4x14 ?) and all the recovering thing when Andy lives in Sharon's condo... I am sure Sharon and Andy agreed it would be better if he was sleeping in Rusty's bedroom just to avoid make him uncomfortable... They was obviously a lot more intimate since they kissed each other in front of the boy at this time.

Honestly??? THAT explains a lot!!! I was wondering about some of those things myself: Rusty's reluctance towards Andy after pointing out the two were dating, the calling each other by their titles thing. I too thought something had gone wrong there.

Hi. This is because Sharon accepts Rusty as her legitimate son in an episode 4x11. The deleted scene is 4x06 episode.

Oh, she held him as her son long before the official adoption. She tht of herself as his Mom back in season one multiple times.

Mary Kutman Sharon and Rusty legally become a family way back in season 3 episode 11 Down the Drain. Sharon and Andy don't get together until season 4 episode 5 when he asks her out on a date at the end of the episode. And even though they are legally a family and they both accept it as such Rusty doesn't call Sharon mom every time.

I loved, loved this show, but never could stand the know it all, arrogant, self-absorbed , annoying Rusty character or why they added him to the show. Made it hard to watch and enjoy the show as much.
