Good call on Dr Manning’s part. Dr Chio talks of Reggie dying with dignity. But Dr Mannings choice was for him to die with love holding his hand, hearing her voice and knowing in the last moments he was reunited with his first and serious love. That is the best it could have been considering this disease.

Goodwin forced them to waste an ECMO-treatment that could've been used on another patient that would have higher chances of recovery. This was a selfish and bad call.

They're in an ER, everyone either is discharged or transferred. ER is not somewhere one should spend excessive amounts of time.

Like in one aspect I feel bad for Goodwin in a possible relationship with the patient but, not listening to doctors advice isn't going to help her advancement of a relationship with the patient. Doctors train medicine and methods of saving patients for years and not listening to them is key.
@jordanabeaulieu25303 жыл бұрын
Goodwin is usually very level-headed but in this case it's someone she cares about so she's thinking as a patient's close friend rather than the head of patient and medical services!

Helped a loved one and his family fight cancer for the last two years. Being his primary carer was the toughest thing I have ever had to do. One thing it taught me was that when the chips are down, sometimes the correct decision isn’t the right one.

@jsas2047 Жыл бұрын
@@TheFiown there's a difference between being emotionally involved with a random patients situation and being emotionally involved with your close loved ones situation. As a doctor you need to be level headed and calm when dealing with hard situations, you need to detach yourself from the patient. It is completely normal and understandable to not be able to do that with a close loved one.

This is why I cannot watch this show. doctors moralizing, making decisions against the best interest of the patients for their own interest, going against expressed wishes of the patients . The doctors who fight for the patient's interest are portraied as the bad guys. My body, my life. Not yours. I want a doctor who does what's best for me. Who does what I want. Execute my decisions.
