Barry Norman was right about Casino being her defining moment, I can't name a decent role she's had since.

Watch remake of " Diabolique ", she was also very good. It is said she was under estimated in Hollywood and a lot of movie roles were given to someone else rather than her.

Sharon Stone is a good actress and truly beautiful and sexy. Basic Instinct is a classic and Sliver wasn't a great movie. But, it's still a good movie and one of the sexiest movies ever made.

I know she thinks Scorsese gave her credibility but Paul Verhoeven gave her a role which was just so much more powerful.

Basic Instinct was more than nudity. I barely remember her nudity, maybe because I'm not into women. I remember how manipulative she was, how she could disregard people, use them for whatever she wanted, and not even care. It's expected and accepted for men to behave this way, but not women. Women are expected to be ladylike and considerate at all times. The way she portrayed Catherine Tremel was incredible especially when you think of how polite, kind, and generous Sharon Stone is IRL.

Stone had a bad reputation in Hollywood because she is stunning AND a highly intelligent woman.same with madonna. Smart women always get a bad rep.

Hmm, Norman was a bit of a creepy prick in retrospect. All he does here is put her and her work down. Not a word about her great performance in Casino, just how hard it must have been around real actors and how she'll never do better. And frankly she's right about Basic Instinct. It wasn't just the nudity, it was her performance that sold the film, whether people noticed or not. Just read an article about his favourite interviews. He included Martin Scorsese for his wonderful film knowledge. George Clooney for being charming and early. Jamie Lee Curtis because when he arrived she was naked and did the interview in a dressing gown (he made a joke to her about the rabbits on her slippers having the best view in the room). And Michelle Pfeiffer because they were alone in a small room and their legs kept touching. Apparently he couldn't think of a woman he interviewed that was memorable for her insight or personality.

Pretty typical of how women are treated in Hollywood

WHAT did He say?? Fish n chips to Thompson’s ‘egg and bacon’?,........ well it appears Stone has proven herself well beyond ‘eggs and bacon’ to Steak Diane, or perhaps more impressively still, a Spicy Hot Finely Made Rick Stein Curry! And where is THIS arrogant presenter now?? 😠
