I’m a UX grad student with an art and fashion background. I totally was intimidated at first, but very excited when I learned more about it. In my views though, design is design. We are all solving various problems with various materials and tools whether fashion, visual, architects, industrial designers, etc! User experience is just one way way to ask questions and problems and form solutions with a strong user focus. With that in mind, I think leveraging your various experiences could be your strength! On my experience on the field and may other fields... You don't need to have a degree on any visual, programming, designing, etc to be a professional on the field with high paying salaries. I only finish high school and I am a Producer, Art Director, UI, UX designer, Artificial Intelligence Designer, Broadcast Motion Graphics Designer and Product Designer. My salary always being higher then graduated and folks with PHD on the field. When I try to hire people on my field I always ask for a DEMO REEL and if the person know how to draw. If they don't have both, I would never hire that person. Now, there are some areas like video editor but even that most companies now requires you to know AE, AI and Photoshop with design skills in place... so again, it goes how much you know how to design and create motion graphics today. If you don't have no of what I said, find a field that you are good at it. Time is priceless!

Daeguma I totally agree. I feel that the pandemic has made people realize that we have to spend our time wisely even when choosing something as simple as a career. I’m pursuing an IT degree at the moment, but I have realized overtime my passion for HCI is real! So what’s the point of wasting money at a university? HCI or UX design is most definitely the future, and as she said in the video they’re already making 90k so it’s a no brainer for me🤷🏾‍♀️

I'm a Junior in an Interaction Design BFA program and most of the students can't draw! Even the best ones. What you do need to be able to do is sketch... nothing major. Like on a page, drawing a box to represent a browser window and drawing boxes on that to show where different elements will be on the page. When you're communicating with people about designs and creating ideas, being able to communicate visually in really basic ways is very important.

I am a bit all over the place, I do enjoy designing web/app design also now I started to learn Photoshop which I enjoy too just doing bits and pieces and will see how it goes, hopefully one day I will change my profession to ui/ux designer. Hello bro I'm a beginner level logo designer but I'm facing some issues which is making problems while designing. I'm using Adobe Illustrator Cc 18 + Photoshop Cc 18 now but it's 2021 and there is also 2021 versions already had been released too .... so which version of Adobe Photoshop+Illustrator will be best for me and graphics designer(Logo Designer) for better performance, optimization, stability, features ,I mean in overall .; like I use Dell Precision 5520 ((Os:Win10Pro || intel i5 7th gen HQ processor , clock speed base:2.50 & Max:3.09 || Ram 8GB ddr4 2133mhz || 256GB SSD , Core: 4 || GPU: Intel HD 630 4gb+ nVidia Quadro M1200 4gb total 8GBgfx || Display Res: 1920x1080p)) So please suggest me which version of Adobe Photoshop+Illustrator should I use??
