All he actually needs is the Sh101, Juno 106 and the roland drum machines with sampler to do 95% of his music.

the poly-61 doesn't randomly go out of tune - it has dcos. the patch he was playing had the pitch modulated by the lfo. don't let that stop you from buying one, it's a fantastic synth!

John k I’d love to know the answer to the question too!! All these producers seem to have so much hardware synced perfectly also
@benhall22353 жыл бұрын
Or just several sub mixers feeding into a behringer 502 or something. You can hear all the synths but they’re not necessarily on descrete channels.

Would you buy a juno 106 or a ju-06 ?
@maccagrabme8 жыл бұрын
Ju-06 on the basis that its very, very close to the real thing, in a mix very difficult to tell apart or if you add a tiny bit more chorus via effects unit, Secondly it takes up a lot less space, no voice chip issues to worry about and a darn sight cheaper. If you really must have an analogue Juno then simply get an Alpha Juno as its better than the 106 although you will need an editor for it to get the most out of it. The Jx3p is even nicer imo.
@thenewyorkpauls8 жыл бұрын
I was pretty sold on the idea of getting a JU-06 until I found out it only has 4 note polyphony... nonetheless a real Juno is out of my price range so maybe if I can get a good deal on the module.
@jerod-s-rivera6 жыл бұрын
Having purchased the JU before I saved up for anoriginal Juno 106. I can say with certainty the original Juno 106 is the way to go!

+Tim Webb As someone who has probably about $60,000 worth of gears in my bedroom, I can give you some tips. A few examples of what I have: Neve 2254e, Andromeda A6.. just to name a couple to give you an idea. Also, I currently don't have a job. So, I didn't fund my equipment with a 9-5... well, maybe earlier on I did. Tips: 1. Be willing to spend. I don't take vacations. I don't go out clubbing. I don't have rims on my car. I don't have expensive cloths. Most of what I spend money on is music gears. 2. I took out a $10,000 loan about a decade ago. I spent at least 80% of that on acquiring new gears (loan is almost paid off now). 3. Pawnshops, craiglist, and eBay. I once got $5,000 worth of analog synth for only $800. TRUE STORY!!! 4. I also put some of my financial aid money towards gear acquisition.

Electronic music hobbyists - where financial savviness goes to die. Seriously, how are people amazed at the fact that some people have 303's, 101's, 909's, etc.? Its literally just a case of not being a twat with your money and constantly being on the lookout for a good price. People act like getting 303 is like this unattainable acquisition; most people I know spend that a year on their fucking subscription packages lmao

sometimes it's not about the output... It's about the process. I do agree tho. Digital apps have come a LONG way and sound lush. Hardware with little/no screen is more fun, however.
