I had a tape recorder in 1987. In Russia he was brought from Singapura.Ya bought it at the price of 3500 rubles. It was very expensive. 1 dollar is worth 2 rubles. Thank you for the video of your beautiful Sharp WF-939 and thank you for selling it to me. I am really enjoying it and it looks fantastic in my boombox collection. If anyone is thinking about buying a WF-939, I would highly recommend it. It is not the biggest boombox out there, but it has very good sound quality. I was actually very surprised by how good it sounds. It is a boombox so it's not going to sound fantastic like a nice home audio system but for a mid-sized boombox with plastic speaker enclosures, it sounds really good. Unlike some other Sharp boomboxes like the four woofer models (GF-767, GF-777, GF-999, etc.,) the WF-939 isn't as popular amongst collectors so prices for nice ones haven't gone crazy expensive. Get one while you can before the word gets out about how nice this much overlooked Sharp boombox really is.

@@speakerguy9468 Sorry but I don't have one of those classic Sharp four woofer boomboxes like the GF-777 to compare my WF-939 to. Hopefully someone else has both boomboxes so they can answer your question.

I had a similar one, an Aiwa in 2001 ; very ggod performance ; the speakers are labelled FD, meaning " Flat Diaphragm ", partly Aluminium with very high acoustic performance ; such is very rare !

Не хай фай конечно, но раньше считалось чудом. В современном хайфай, кстати не делают эквалайзера, ни вообще в регулировании частот. Играет запись так как она записана и ничего ни убавить ни прибавить обычно нет желания. Хотя слушают конечно совсем другие записи на подобной аппаратуре. Классику, живые инструменты и прочую сложную для воспроизведения без сильных искажений музыку. Ну а как бумбокс шарп конечно весьма неплох, но не хай-фай. Ни разу.

Techmoan's wasnt a Sharp, but a chinese knock-off instead

The boombox in Techmoan's video was the International IT-939. You can easily tell the difference between that one and the Sharp WF-939 because the WF-939 has a bright green LED spectrum analyzer on the front. The WF-939 also has soft touch ("logic") controls for the two cassette tape decks. If you ever get to hold these two boomboxes, the difference is obvious. The Sharp is much heavier and solid feeling compared to the International. The difference in sound quality between the two also is pretty obvious. The Sharp sounds much better or at least to my ears it does.
