Sharpen Photos in Lightroom like a Pro | Lightroom Quick and Dirty Tips

If your not using the masking feature when sharpening photos in Lightroom, you're doing it all wrong! More often than not, we really don't need to sharpen the entire photograph. In wildlife photography, we want to do everything we can to make our subjects stand out in the composition while letting the surrounding environment support but not compete with our subject. By selectively sharpening just the important parts of our photographs - such as our wildlife subjects - we keep the background and surrounding environment on a somewhat softer level than our subject itself. Lightroom has made the whole process very simple with the use of Masking.
