I'm glad you said the actual materials, but I would like to add how it gets that clear rainbow reflection: as how it happens in cds, its due to interference of the light hitting the surface of the nail (because there are two layers reflecting light, either the pigment is slightly transparent or the pigment itself has two layers). You have to imagine the pigment as extremely fine glitter. Thats why it gets the effect when rubbed, because it lays flat on the surface, therefore creating a "flim" of this material. The materials used might be the appropiate to get the glitter or pigmemt to have the carachteristics i mentioned. I just happened to know and wanted to share xd

holographic glitter that gives is synthetic, there are micro grated layers that reflect light to give show visible spectrum-if i remember correctly. i assume the same holds true for holographic pigment that gives a linear rainbow effect. though iridescence can occur in nature (e.g. nacre, feathers), even multi-colored manufactured crystals have synthetic layers to produce the desired affect.

@emiliacampbell35616 жыл бұрын
LEILLIS SANTOS yes you can! I use alcohol and it works
@christinaprice33176 жыл бұрын
I've used alcohol. It worked fine.
@dropapebble6 жыл бұрын
Most gel residue solutions are mixtures of alcohol and acetone. So yes. Alcohol should work.
@helenbutler49236 жыл бұрын
The wipe of solution is basically just alcohol anyway
@calichef19626 жыл бұрын
What's important is what the Sharpie ink is made of, and it's alcohol based, so alcohol is what you really need to thin the Sharpie ink. *Don't* use acetone! It could damage your top coat.

Could you use urban graphitti base coat? Or is that too sticky?
@jenny93436 жыл бұрын
DeKarla Fuller chrome powders work best on no wipe top coats especially to seal them because base coats aren't usually 100% transparent
