I have literally never heard a band make a full album of back to back certified bangers before like this.

I'm late to discover this song, and I instantly loved it. But then I read the lyrics, and it hit me HARD. I walked away from my father at a young age, so a slightly different scenario but for similar reasons explained in the lyrics. My father is out there somewhere, and man does this song explain exactly how I feel about the entire situation.

Jesus effing Christ man. I did not need to be called out this way today. I mean this whole song could be be a "love" letter to my mother. Or my step dad. Or my step mom. Heck, pick any of the pathetic excuses I got for parents. Or put them all together and this exactly what you'd get. Just... damn. Then again, I always do love a song that hits me right in the feels. You guys are amazing, that's for sure. This whole album is brilliant. And if you ever make it stateside and come to Boston, I'll be the first in line to see you

If you hate your parents, no matter what's the reason, please try to forgive and talk to them. You can't imagine what is like to be unable to fix this kind of situation when they die. Give it another chance if you can , living in regrets is the worst case scenario.

This song is accurate for me except the beatings. He gave the belt like a Wildman as punishments but that's because his temper and we were stupid kids that never listened. Saw him one time in the last decade and that was because my great grandfather was dying of leukemia. What hits hard is the idea of him dying and never receiving closure. Why did you stop trying to be a father? Why didn't you fight to keep your family together?
