Yeah, some songs sounded like the first album, just more mature. Seeing them in Portland, first time seeing them since Warped 2016.

@@DankBirdGang52 I would say this opening riff is faster than anything off of Apologies.

that go super hard on every album, they continue to push their limits and also not commit to giving into greed for fear of losing fame, Architects, Parkway Drive, Bring Me The Horizon just name a few that have given in to selling out, though several people will disagree and you can hear when a band gives up on making quality music, and instead replace the difficult riffs and melodic melodies that made them unique to all sounding the same with basic chugs and a tiny lick in there for some sort of structure. fist raised for MISS MAY I THEY NEVER GIVE IN, NEVER GIVE UP!

0:34 is the most awesome sound I've heard from this genre in awhile, only thing that comes close to architects, but it's completely original....incredible vocals combined in the best way I keep repeating it. PICK UP THE PIECES. ONE BY ONE.
@Derek-gj8wz2 жыл бұрын
Let's not compare MMI to Architects. MMI is way better than them and more old school metalcore imo.

Dude RIGHT?? i've been fixated on that pre-chorus as well, and yes it has that super heavy but atmospheric vibe to it, and that guitar bend while he's singing "one by one" my god just hits you in the soul. Never thought about it but it actually is really Architects-like

This album got somehow went under the radar despite how much attention the singles got, which is rather odd considering it's one of the strongest metalcore releases since the golden years.

One of my favorite songs that MMI has ever released but man does that chorus really take away from such an amazing song.

Disagree with the chorus part. It fits and it's their style.
@paul_romero_2 жыл бұрын
@@Derek-gj8wz Subjective and I disagree but I’m glad that you enjoy it! They know how to write massive, great choruses and this one doesn’t fit that criteria, for me.
