Few moths ago I was bored and I made this sticker saying "Why is captain Kirk climbing a mountain?" and I glued it to this box on my home street. Weeks went by and I happened to walk by that box again, and I noticed something: there was a sticker underneath my sticker that said "because he wants to make love to the mountain". For a brief moment I felt that I'm not alone in the universe.

You see, Kif, a woman is like a mountain. A sensual, sexy mountain. The higher you climb, the more of her you can get your arms around. Some men plant their flag at the top, some hang around her peak like a velour cloud. But whatever you do, don't talk about how many inches she's gained this year. No matter what, tell her erosion has been kind.

Came back for the nostalgia, stayed because of how hilarious this gets of you picture this song being about Gregor Clegane.
Can't get over this song for a while now.. Definitely one of my KZbin favorites. This video strikes a chord (the same chord), brutally, through a few things: Shatner's attitude, the retro look and sound, and Star Trek, which, even if it deals with the future, is the 'retro' generation :D It gives a sense of coolness that happened and can never be reached again, hence the extra nostalgia... And this is true, THIS will never happen again, but thanks to the author & KZbin we'll have it forever.

It's probably been 5-10 years since this last popped into my head, but I was just listening to a podcast where someone said they'd hug a mountain, and instantly my brain comes right back here. In a wild coincidence, the person on that podcast was Tig Notaro, who plays Jett Reno in ST:Discovery. She's also completely blind to basically any sort of pop culture reference (let alone niche old meme culture), so it's just a weirdly perfect moment of synchronicity, and I love that 😚👌
