'...once heard from reputable friend, just went home n never played again one day, Lyle. And in a lower shadow, I've so gotten that. But oh, the dreamy thought of a Metheney tribute band!!! (( i pop on, do lil phone clips once in a blue. Nothing pro. I know it's been unspeakable but HaPpY NeW YeAr, brthr!
Took my bass guitar (muted the originall bass with EQ), and after an hour, I still wasn't bored. AND surprised! Not Metheny himself?? This is class work! Endless adventure! You can do what you want with it.

Sure~ First and all the following accords sound familiarity,, so much and well remembered but the fact is , SOME mysteries of an original and first, spontaneous attraction~ARE irreplaceable and better left alone to preserve the experience regardless whether Good or Bad as it is only such that matures in its own, "classic" dimension AND is there... in the memory empowered by inner dwellings pondering a whole ARRAY of neural frequencies, these are in charge of maintaining of both functional and INTUITIVELY spiritual entity serving evolving nature of choices followed by confirmation in behavioral approach... EVEN IF IT ONLY RESOUNDS THROUGH POETRY OF LANDSCAPES THE MUSIC IS CAPABLE OF CREATING...

if i had repainted over vang gogh sunflowers would that be considered art and a real performance? I believe that there are things that should not be touched, pat metheny it is a state of mind and you nobody knows you; so throw yourself on his music and lay your egg, I find that very proud! compose your music and leave pat metheny alone ...
@shatnershairpiece3 жыл бұрын
people love what I do, often preferring it to the original, so your argument is pointless. no one needs to be left alone. I composed my music for 3 hours here. I also sold $10,000 worth of my original compositions in the last 4 months alone on bandcamp. your idea about things not being touched is complete lunacy when it comes to music. everyone has a right to cover, or reinterpret, or add to any thing that has come before.

In music almost anything - including composing - is a follow-up, built on existing elements. Even the performance of existing music is partly new trough interpretations. Think of many number 1 Hits, that were remakes of older songs, but are considered to be 'new'. Or Jazz-musicians who play jazz-standards, adding a lot of new lines during improvisation. They are regarded to as new compositions, complete with CD's and honours. Or think of Remixers, who even use parts of existing performances by others, to create something completely new. Robin shows, what can be done with existing music. And it is more than simply adding a guitar solo. He creates a total sound, sounding 'new' to me. And he honours Metheny immediately in the title. Nothing wrong with all this.

Bof..pas trop stylé. Pas assez des thèmes de ces 2 artistes. C est de l improvisation!. Après les goûts et les couleurs. C est mon avis. Une impression de déception passion. Musicalement c est pas travaillé.
