A little trick, if you want the item in turn to appear yes or yes, remove all the objects from the inventory, except that one in question. Basically only being able to appear that object Edit: this Is now fixed, it wont work now.

No, the dev already fixed that years ago because of abuse. If you remove all your items except the weapon, the hero remains on the next game will only give you money.

@@Crinjicat this is wrong. When I do this trick I always remove the items from myy inventory except for the upgraded item, and it’s always worked.

So you can remove unnecessary items to increase chance but must not remove all of them (cuz if so the game will auto give you coins). Am I right?

Had it work once on an upgraded wand I had, but does not work on your starter staff as mage

I used it to give my mage run a +3 Wand of Disintegration. It does indeed very much work, but it can't be in your staff.

does this apply to weapons when we die while carrying the weapon we are holding?Or is it just the armor?

it can be anything but the chances are higher if you have it equipped

No, I read from the old patch that the less item from the inventory, you will just only get gold. It's to prevent players from abusing this trick.

Some people say it will only produce gold if you have just the item you want to duplicate in your inventory, but i just tested it on a +3 leather of swiftness and it worked. The next try didn't yield anything at all. I suspect your hero won't leave remains if he collected one. (Edit: not true. Not sure now why no remains existed in that run). I'm pretty sure the only gold thing applies to items that dont get duped (SOU for instance). Don't quote me on it though. Edit:. Ok. Tricking out the mages staff definitely just produces gold. Edit again:. Ok. Because I'm a nice guy i played around with a +3 mail. Every time i died with only that on, remains were produced that contained it. However, during the last run, i switched to upgrading a scale and only got gold as a result (168 pieces). However, i didn't identify the scale so i admit i don't know what it's bonus was. I'll play around some more when I have time.

If you're having a bad run give this a try to see if the next is better, but don't rely on it. I've had the bag of bones not even appear on occasion. Obviously if you're having a good run, don't deliberately die for any reason.
