Yeah especially the doom slayer achievement, I beat the other week , and dam it was so hard , Yog summons two fist at a time ! And with all the spawner Alive , evil eyes , Scorpions and reaper demons spawn frequently,making it so much harder . I remembered that I used up 11 healing potions , I was using the rogue for the challenge because his best in stealth, which was really important once there are so many enemies I can't just charge in and attack , took 4 hours to complete the run

I used duelist cause I was hoping I would get a katana so I could attack the scorpions he spawned. I didn’t get that but I managed to have the same effect with the blazing enchant and the elemental strike setting like 3-5 of them aflame. I went into the fight with ~10-15 healing potions and all 4 blessed anchs and won with no healing left and only one anch

i remember when I first reached this battle... I was playing rogue and mega rushed through, didn't kill not one portal. I had every ankh saved and blessed, good weapons and a lot of scrolls. but man that earth fist... I spent so long on fire I had no water to wash away the ooze

Surely an uplifting and memorable theme for me when I finally faced yog in my final showdown trying to get doom slayer. It was really tense trying to thin out his health while knowing a misstep will get you showered by infinite laser cannons and crippling spikes, without this theme to spice up the atmosphere the showdown would be much less intense. Great song!

I guess time to tell my first run experience. So here I was, playing huntress warden for the first time. By complete coincidence I got blooming on all of my equipment, but I wasn't about to change it, and the unstable spell book. Luckily I made a habit of exploring every room and managed to destroy all of the portals, as soon as I saw that he was stationary I just blew him up with ranged attacks, however unfortunately I got the earth fist, which isn't exactly a good combination. So like any sane human being I lit it on fire and brute forced it chugging health potion after health potion. A few holy bombs and about 15 tridents later I killed the stink eye and won, was an amazing feeling

Elixir of dragon blood helps vs burning and earth fist due to burning plants and providing fire immunity. Storm clouds potion also counters the earth fist by deleting the foliage it grows.

You never really defear/kill YOG-DZEWA, is an eldricht god that can fit in the MC plane of existence, The MC just destroyed they Avatar so is banished, the fact that it just doesnt bother to speak too much so saying thing short phrases and when you defeat it he just remain silent, likes it was just slighty annoyed, by that defeat telling us that it would return one day

Storm potions really helps so much in fighting these two, especially the earth fist. With the grass flooded over it dies in 3 hits, but with full tall grass, it's immortal. Fighting the burning fist depends less due to dragon blood elixir already resisting fire. But still helps weaken it(?)

I couldn't get through the dungeon. I had learned the tricks of sneak attacks, optimal foraging, took advantage of alchemy, mostly the op elixir of might. kept buffed up on that with pretty much every second potion in the level, rationed. about a hundred and eighty games experience, over a few years. had never reached the final floor, with the farthest I had gotten being a few floors into the demon halls. so one day, I started playing consecutive runs, turning to the warrior only, as the easiest class. on the fated run, the first hopeful item was a vampiric katana (that's how recent it is). found plus one plate armour in either sewers or prison. upgraded it as I went, ended up smithing it together with another plate armour, got the stone glyph on it (turns evasion proportionately into defence), augmented for defence (I wonder if there'd be any difference between evasion and defence augmentation with the glyph of stone). end up giving it plus five. ended up with a ring of tenacity too, I guess. now indestructible. if I get low health, the vampiric enchantment takes effect more. next piece of the unbreakable synergy: chalice of blood in caves. probably the most simple artifact in function, and the most passive, but it's still my favourite because you have to almost kill yourself to get the best of it. it's a pretty metal concept, the design and balnce is great. I also like it because it's op. plus seven it with relative ease. level seven, sungrass to heal up, then a potion of shielding. I meant to use earthroot armour to help, but I also wanted to have the remainder sungrass healing after, so I prick myself once more. two more levels, and the pricks kill any mortal without extreme protection. well? why should death be an obstacle. I had chosen berserker, for the first time. usually I had historically picked g ageladiator because combos are cool. but building combos is a pain. I didn't have a quick weapon that would lend itself to combos, but I was indestructible, and could not evade attacks, which lends itself extremely to rage building. I had a spare talent point, so I put but one into deathless fury. stood infront of a skeleton until I had full rage and pricked. death is no longer an obstacle. I had no health and about thirty shielding. that's no good. you get a better benefit from a blessed ankh. had a blessed ankh. and level ten chalice is worth more than an ankh. two pricks in two turns. the level ten chalice of blood gives one health a second as long as you're not starving. so now I'm even more indestructible-er. final floor: I was on floor twenty-four. I'd used a scroll of magic mapping and there was an alchemy pot right next door to the next set of stairs. walked right over. at this point, my vampiric katana had been plus three or four-ed, and I had transmuted it into a longsword, and augmented for speed. I had five whole hoarded scrolls of upgrade, but didn't wanna risk losing my enchantment. I then remembered something, just a tickle in my brain. so I consulted the alchemy book. ended up turning three useless scrolls of rage and a few others into arcane catalysts, then all of my scrolls of upgrade into magical infusions, whoch don't erase glyphs. plus eight vampyric longsword, augmented for speed (just remembered, I augmented for speed for more glyph procs). final build: chalice of blood plus ten plus five hero's platemail of stone, augmented for defence (blocks 5-42 damage) plus eight vampyric longsword, augmented for speed (8-46 damage, + up to seven bonus damage for strength remainder) ring of tenacity plus four (up to 55.63% damage reduction, not sure exactly how it's damage reduction works, it's like the blue tearstone ring from dark souls, doesn't seem that useful that the damage reduction is high when you're at low health, if you're gonna die at that point anyway. not sure why I upgraded it, but I wasn't too flush for rings in this run. it no doubt helped greatly anyway) finally, the dried rose. I got this really late, in the imp's shop, and I had a buncha gold, so i was like, yeah, I like the ghost, why not. I forgot about it almost completely. got all of the petals within four floors consequently. the yog dzewa fight . . . well, I knew the name, and I'd heard of the fists in the patch notes, but I didn't really expect an eye on the floor. the fight went pretty much like, walk up and slap. walk up to fist and slap. walk up to fist and slap. you know. et cetera. I exited the dungeon with the sad ghost. had like ten potions of healing remainder. I probably could have completed like, ten runs over if I hadn't been so stingy with potions of healing. I just had to accidentally make an indestructible build to win. now I aim to be able to do it without getting that lucky, just working with whatever I'm given
