Man, everything about this mission is just f▒▒king nuts. The total mission time, the delta-V requirements, the fact that you're _plunging into the accretion disk of a _*_black hole,_* the planet itself being cracked like a creme brulee from space hell by the monstrous tidal forces of said black hole, the multiple mile-deep canyons cradling rivers of *magma* and just… that image of the Kerbals standing on this blasted rock, potentially thousands of light years from home, after a decade-long voyage, with one of the most terrifying things in the universe looming silently over their heads… I can't think of another video game capable of making you feel so small. Loved the video btw

When your Kerbals were on Onrefni and returned to Kerbin, it should be more years later than it actually says in mission time. That close to the black hole the gravity would be affecting the passage of time, like in Interstellar when they spent 2 hours or so on the water planet but 20 years passed for everyone else.

also worth noting in the movie interstellar the time dilation was exaggerated, (for cinematic effect) like realistically, you would need to be a earth-moon d istance away from M87's event horizon to experience that time dilation, which i think m87 is bigger than gargantua

Nice video, always wanted to see what happens if you make a kerbal step on Onrefni. In the ‘Other Worlds’ mod when you step on the lava planet it kills your kerbal I believe, I don’t know if it’s supposed to but mine just died walking on it 💀 Anyways, I might reinstall the Kcalbeloh planet pack, now that I installed Parallax and rewatched Interstellar !😂

If you get too close to some of the lava rivers or in too low elevations on Onrefni some parts will explode, I initially landed closer to that lava river that runs through the bottom of the crater and my whole rover exploded as soon as I detached it and the wheels hit the ground haha. The kerbals exploded too. It's safe if you keep to the higher elevations though! I LOVE INTERSTELLAR BRO

Greetings, Onrefni is an interesting world but when i did the parallax scatter for it i really didnt see need to give it much interesting structures, if you want an interesting volcano world i recommend a revisit to anneheg which is covered in volcanic glass on its surface. I felt anneheg being such a tumultuous world would have obsidian spires or whatever volcanic glass you define it as due to it being actively volcanic and lava covered rather than cracking at the seems deep below the surface. Anyways glad to see your series continue and hope to see more interesting videos from you

I don’t know how you feel about this, but maybe you could do both. And I think it would be cool if you did surface bases on some of the drawf planets and moons in OPM+MPE since they’re closer kerbol. And I did find parralax for OPM it looks really nice!
@boguekerbalКүн бұрын
@@PadlesVR Yeah I want to do both for sure. I feel like I want to the OPM + MPE one first, and then KSS2 after, because the first one is probably a little more accessible for the majority of the KSP community, but personally, I am looking forward to doing a KSS2 series more since I have never been to those planets before! I planned it out, and the OPM + MPE series might only take around 3 months or so to finish, whereas this Kcalbeloh series has taken me a year to finish due to the sheer amount of planets in it. So I think I will tackle both this spring.

Idk if the ship spinning was a glitch or not, i know that irl torque can cause objects that are spinning to rotate and flip in zero/micro gravity. Your ship did have the rotating hab, which gives it an effective torque, but i don't think the effect would be as exaggerated as it is in ur save
@ViperBittenКүн бұрын
Exactly! I saw that it had a small rotating wheel going opposite to balance out the angular momentum, but KSP physics probably didn't think it was enough. It might actually be more of a precession happening though since the ship should be spinning opposite the hab but instead it's spinning perpendicularly. In future adventures he should have two of the same hub, going in opposite directions of one another to cancel each other out - not sure if it would work in the game, but that's the real life solution.
@Spacewalker1870Күн бұрын
im pretty sure the orbital ring had nothing to do with it, usually what happens is that the ship is either locked to prograde or a different direction, so it tries to change its direction towards that, or more commonly the trim ends up being activated by accident while controlling the vessel, to reset trim do alt + x

Yeah that would be a great tutorial to do. I'm still figuring the engines out one by one. Currently I've only tried the mirror cell fusion engine & the X7 Asimov after burning fission fragment rocket. I feel like It would be good to go one by one since they are all so different. When I have tried more of them I think thats for sure a good idea for a few videos. My fellow KSP KZbinr buddy Javelin_Shadow has some really in-depth tutorials out rn on Far Future that are absolutely worth checking out in the meantime!
