ABOUT MARE:
Mare is a young widow sharing her journey with more than one million views on her KZbin Channel. Mental health, self care, women's health, special needs and being true to yourself are pillars of Mare's message. She strives to include helpful content in multiple videos per week as well as on the radio and on her growing social media. Mare is a single mum, raising a child with special needs and lost her husband to suicide in 2017. She's built a strong online community, aptly named 'Mareathoners', which shares intimate aspects of life to help each other. She's made it her mission to be vulnerable and open to ensure her Mareathoners know they are not alone.

Thank you for the vlog! I've been following along with the news about the autism funding and it's unbelievable to me that parentd, care providers etc were not consulted. I hope that the reaction will make the government second guess their announcement. I hope someone involved will see your video to fully understand the impacts. I'm sorry to hear that there are so many services being cut in BC. It's so frustrating. My husband and I just moved back to Ontario from Alberta because we felt like our province let us down for various reasons. Mare, you are the most incredible mom to Thomas. I’m so upset to learn about the drastic cut to the autism funding and I’m so glad you shared it with us. Your advice about sharing your fears and struggles with someone was so good and I couldn’t agree more. I pray that somehow someway they reconsider this situation. I look at how Thomas is just thriving and I know that has to do with what you have been able to access with the funding and you being such an incredible advocate for Thomas as well. As a retired O.T. who keeps up with the news, it seems to me that autism is on the rise and the spectrum lengthens. How anyone could suggest budgets cuts is ludicrous! It will take a band of parents like you to make them realize how desperate the need is. I am so sorry to hear this news. How can we help? 💟🇨🇦

You have to put some faith in the response that this announcement is going to get from the citizens of this province. There will be such pushback and changes will be made before it takes effect. I am just sooooo angry that this announcement was made without consultation and is so terrifying to so many. It has to be fixed. We all have loud voices to help !!!!!!!

Support for autistic people in the UK is terrible, but as we have the NHS support for Thomas's hearing would probably be covered, from all your videos iv watched were you live seems beautiful, I hope things work out, you both deserve it so much
