The fact Alexander sat out 7 quarters and still had 1,880 yards is mind blowing. If he had 2,000 yards, he would’ve been in the HOF 10 years ago.

A RB who couldn’t handle contact isn’t one of the GOATS. He was a good RB with a HOF LT and LG.

@paulrider725 lol there is highlights of him blasting through people to get in the end zone. People don't understand, you can't be an mvp running back and lead the league being soft. He absolutely got soft late in his career and that's what everyone saw because nobody watched the seahawks until late 2005. He played years before that

The problem is the very real East Coast Bias and the fact that Seattle was the Rodney Dangerfield of the NFL, before Pete Carroll.

The highlight that probably explains why he isn't in the HOF: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJWQc4aoi9iFetU Great run. He got tackled at the 1. In the NFC Championship game. Just one problem. Left Tackle (Walter Jones in the HOF, as is the RG Steve Hutchinson also in that play) rode the DE all the way into the endzone. Shaun Alexander deserves to be in the HOF. 100%. Fairly or not his case is marred by a ridiculous offensive line. But I think he will eventually get in as running back careers are cut short and he probably makes it as a veteran later.

In a typical Russell Wilson fashion, Sean Alexander immediately takes credit for his achievements instead of pointing out the fact that he had a Hall of Fame left tackle and left guard Paving the way for him side by side, in Walter Jones and Steve hutchinson. Alexander never lowered his head and ran over people. He would run out of bounds a yard short of a first down to avoid contact. Soft up the middle and only looked good on the perimeter when he had a defensive back to make a move on. It's incredibly audacious for him to say that he took the Seahawks from good to great after he was drafted. He was actually one of the softest running backs in franchise history you guys. If you don't recognize that then you really don't know your football. Sorry but true

100 touchdowns. 1880/27 on the ground in 2005. Absolutely elite numbers. He didn't take guys head on but he consistently broke through arm tackles and despite running a 4.58 he always broke long runs and outran the entire defense on numerous occasions. He does come off as arrogant though.

“Truck through people” “and run through people???” 😂😂😂. This dude was the Tyler Lockett of rbs. Aka fall at when fiest contact was coming. I’m sorry but you know nothing about him. And I’m a Hawks fan. He’s absolutely a product of the O Line. Marshawn would destroy Shaun if he had same line.

He lost his edge when he signed the big deal. Started avoiding contact and running out of bounds at the first sign of a hit coming his way, didn't matter if he could power through and get the first down. Quitters don't get into the HOF, sorry Shaun. I was a huge fan until he started pulling that BS. Dude was soft and deserves to be shut out.
