Bloody love Nick Frost. Fell in love with the whole cast of Spaced at the end of the 90s & would happily watch any of them in absolutely anything they want to do. I'm so glad Nick is finally getting a chance to take care of himself a bit & find some real happiness.

I saw a live talk Nick Frost gave at Supercon one year in Florida, and saw he’s definitely a genuine guy. Also, despite his many struggles, it’s just amazing how he still became such a brilliant actor. The strength this guy shows in his achievements is absolutely superhuman.

I'm so happy you asked him about INTO THE BADLANDS.... I freakin' loved that show, and Nick was a fantastic addition to the cast. What a lovely guy! I met him once briefly at a press call, got a great photo with him. Fantastic interview Michael. :)

So in this video they mention daily affirmations. And being grateful. And in other videos Michael has talked about doing something as simple as starting a group chat so you can share with people what you were thankful for every day. And it has proven scientifically to improve peoples attitudes and well-being. So I wanted to start one myself. But then I realized I’m already part of a Facebook group chat with my wife and her friends. We utilize this to help coordinate plans to Disney World. As well as just bug the hell out of each other throughout the day. I realized I already have a group and decided to share this idea with them and for the last few days we have been starting every day telling each other what we are grateful for. It’s been a lot of fun. It’s been very sweet and endearing. And I was just really blown away at how open and excepting they were to the idea. So I just wanted to share this with you guys and let you know I’m super grateful that I listen to this podcast because it truly helps change my life for the better every day.

Man, always say it, but really love this podcast. Michael Rosenbaum interviews are just great. There's a very laid back nature to them and it always feels like a great space for these folks to be in when they get interviewed. Nick Frost was great. Also that shout out to Brad Allen was nice.

I just want to say thank you to Michael and nick for opening up to everyone who has struggles as well. I know its obvious but they deal with the same problems of everyday life. We live in an age where we constantly see the glamorous side of life and the come up that it can feel lonely and frustrating to not be able to achieve our goals right away.

I first saw Nick Frost on the show "Spaced" with Simon Pegg back in 2005 and instantly loved those guys and the Gen X comedy they were doing. Although both shows deal with geek culture, Spaced is 10x funnier and more clever than The Big Bang Theory.

I am a big fan of Nick... Shaun of the Dead is my at least three or four times every Halloween season must see... Hot Fuzz and World's End are awesome movies I enjoy often, obviously as well. Nick is a great actor and marvelous performer. I just can't believe how much trauma and death in the family he's had to deal with. I think he's been to more funerals in a decade than I've been to in a lifetime! Nick Frost is awesome, and thanks to the Cornetto trilogy for bringing him to us... thanks to Michael Rosenbaum for getting inside of Nick... and I'd like to think that if Nick had never become famous, that I'd've eaten at one of his Mexican restaurants!

I often think of the show/books the magicians & their central messages [to name a FEW] of everyone 'medicates', it's a truly magical thing to be able to turn pain into power to change your world, & the most important/hardest parts of growing up are to be loved by others & yourself. It's interesting how much I notice these themes come up these days. This pod is the closest I get these days to that IP & it's cathartic to hear the honest experiences of fellow people trying to live their best lives. Into the badlands is so brilliant.

Michael, have you ever considered writing and directing a horror movie? I just see parallels with myself. I grew up emotionally alone, overweight and shy, and I always wanted to be funny and make people happy to like me. I was always craving attention from anyone. I was constantly alone inside due to my family's emotionally-disabled mindsets. It was almost like no one ever found the REAL me as interesting. People would be sad if I died but at the same time, they never cared to spend time with me or listen to my ideas or passions. Anyway, this is not a sob story. I'm just saying I feel like we have those similar childhood voids. I have, for the most part, filled mine and branched out to explore and soul-search. But I also grew up on horror movies and people think it's so strange how calm and nice I am but I love "violent" movies. But horror isn't always watched for the violence. Horror can also show the underbelly of love between a group of people. They make trash talk and have fights but when evil attacks one, the love comes to the surface and they fight as one. They bond to destroy the villain. And you and I types crave that foundation. We want to know we have that safety net of love from others that when life is attacking us, we have fighting support. Horror movies are the greatest symbolization of life. It has the drama, the laughter, the evil, the chaos, the battles, the crying, the everything. Horror IS life. And this is why we love it so much. And since I was 13 I knew I wanted to direct horror movies. I'm 38 now and have directed some short films and made many videos for random things but I have not directed a feature horror yet. And I must do this before I die. I was always asked why directing is my dream. I tell people I didn't choose it. It chose me. Horror movies were my only friends as a kid and young adult. And a woman once asked me "why directing? What's your why?" I paused and said "I don't have a clear answer." She said "I think it's because you want to give emotions to many others because no one ever gave you these emotions as a kid." I just stared at her and said "yes. That makes sense..." So I just wonder if you may benefit and enjoy from making your own fun horror movie one day.
