Best memories ever UPDATE: just came back to this comment and saw how many people have the same memory. Thanks to all the father out there and allied assault. And YES, cap the flag, freeze tag was the best on god. Pressing the f4 and F buttons and shouting German commands! “Take a SHIETZUU” for sniper , I probably spelled it wrong but man I love this thread. Thanks guys

Not sure if anyone remembers, but there's freeze and laser type. So when you die, you freeze in that spot but your allies can shoot laser to melt you to come back to the game. When I was the last person to survive in the game and going around melting everyone to comeback and win the game made me feel like a real hero. Why don't they bring that into the modern games?

I remember being obsessed with this game when I was 13. I played it until I got as close to mastering it as I possibly could...for a 13 year old haha. I played Rifle Only exclusively. The rifle only community was absolutely massive. NDE, BOB hosting tournaments with 30+ clans. Had one hell of a time! Pretty sure you can still track down NDEs Tournament on KZbin. There were some incredibly talented players back when this game hit its peak.

I even converted my friends into pc gamers and convinced them to buy MOH so we could all play together, God how I miss those days as a young preteen watching the clock at school counting down the hours till school was over and would ride my bike as fast as I could to get home and get my fix playing rifles only objective mode 😆

Back in the early 2000 I used to play this game as a 14 year old kid with unbelievable relfexes in a clan with +30 years old players. I obviously was the superstar of our clan who single-handedly won a lot of clan wars by myself. It was the funniest time of my life for me. The internet was still very new and the people weren't as degenerate as nowadays. I really miss this time. Active clans. You had your favorite servers where you would meet the same people every day. No toxic but respectful players. No cheating at all. No try-hards who thought they were progamers, streamers or whatever. Only a bunch of random people who wanted to forget the daily life and have fun playing a video game together. I really miss these days...

This is the game I've played the most. I was active 6 years straight, but sadly so many jumped ship to BF2 when that released, and so did I. I like that game too, but it just was never the same. The community of MOHAA is just nothing I've come across since, because it was really just a bunch of people who wanted to have a good time and that's it. The competitive aspect of it was just fun 'n games at the end of the day, nothing like it is today. Btw, I've definitely seen french schoolgirls shoot better lol

So i was right to be hooked on this game for some years, and the clans, and the ambience, i really thought i was in WW2.I remember the church map, and that house in the end of the road where "campers"(it was quite hard to avoid snipers if you were allied?) did their thing.Such good memories!!

I used to play this every day & night around 2008.. I got so good that I got ban from almost every active server as people were convinced I was cheating.. I wasn't, but can understand why people thought I was. Put it this way, other players were averaging 15-20 kills a game, I was getting near 70. Thanks for bringing back some memories

This almost brought a tear to my eye... so many good memories, me and my step dad would start playing every morning and play all day long literally!! This and alien vs predator 2. We had sound mods for cod as I loved it. When you would straff left and right we had the keys locked so you would lean at the same time. I still have my original pc version in the box 😢😭

I was going through some old box in my attic and found one of those old CD cases and this game was in it I paused for a bit as I remembered the memories playing this game way way back in like 2003/04. It was the first time I ever played an FPS online. I think I was about 12 years old and I didn't know what to expect from other players... idk why but I feel like the gaming community was just so much different back then than it is today. Like everyone back then seemed so much more full of life and energy. We really were a different breed of gamers. I do miss those days. Being a complete noob to the online gaming world. This game started it all for me.

Games back then were passion projects, for a smaller group of enthusiastic players, who were considered as nerds by outsiders. Now games are soulless, safe, watered down cash grabs for shareholders, for a larger audience of people, half of which who only play because it's more trendy now than it was before, so with that along comes the posers and chameleons. Basically it's been commercialized.

Loved this game so much!! I remember there being a server that had a capture the flag type of game but instead of a flag you'd capture a toilet. You'd have the toilet over your head and you were forced to be crouched with it. You're character would also fart and make grunting sounds while you had it. I thought it was so hilarious!

I can still remember playing this for the first time back in '02, seeing the bushes slightly move on their own - and having my mind blown just of the thought of being able to camp in gardens/bush lines and not being killed immediately; because in most games back then nature was totally static object, any movement would be immediately noticed and met with a gazillion bullets. But now?! Skulking about in nature was a new fav tactic of mine. Fuck I loveeeeed this game online. Also the soundtrack is incredible too!

Southern france had a secret location on the roof which you got to using the wire. Crossroads had a break in the wall in the basement tunnels that you could jump into and see/shoot through walls.

Freeze Tag was my favorite all-time game mod. I was in SandBox Soldiers -=[SBS]=- and we used to run Spear Head servers with stock and custom maps. Those mods and custom maps were the most fun I've had in many years! Had so many laughs on TeamSpeak or Ventrilo playing with people from all over the world! There hasn't been a game or community like it ever since.

I remember it as if it was yesterday, 13 year old kiddo sitting there with my 1st PC that dad bought for me. It was christmas, mom was in the kitchen preparing the food. The delicious smell was entering my room, mixed with the smell of gingerbread cookies and that tea with honey on my desk. Christmas music playing in the background in a worry free world of mine. I would play this map, the church and the bridge countless hours day in day out. It was all just pure fun, simply being a kid to the fullest. Who would have thought how things would end up, funny isn't it. I would never wish that someone would came up to me and told me how things would end up for me. That kid deserved a glimpse of a happy life. Things started to go downhill after 16 and being now almost 32 It still feels like it can get worse. I'm happy that these videos exist. Somehow it makes me think that I have actually been living a good life and it reminds me of the people that care about me. It also gives me an imaginery moment on how I could be playing in a similar way and in a similar setup with my own kids. However dark life becomes, I will always remember these times. I never believed in Angels but as you grow up, life sometimes surprises you in ways that you could never imagine. You start looking and looking. These moments will be my Angel talking to me.

Totally forgot about how MOH:AA you couldn’t aim down the sights! Sometimes I mix up this and Call of Duty 1, being a year apart and only being 11/12 when they came out. Both were such great games but this one was the original. Without MOH:AA, there would be no CoD legacy. This game was the first online game I ever played, first clan joined, first love for FPS shooters. It started it all!

Anyone remember the shark bug? I don't remember the exact key combinations, but a ladder was used for it. You were practically invisible after that, you floated in the floor and your hands looks like sharks finn. I've played in the biggest polish clan when I was 13 years old :D

Wow, was obsessed with this games multiplayer XP Remember very well the base builder servers where you built a base for 10 mins before fighting... who needs minecraft hahaha XP Anyone remember the servers where 1 person started as invisible with a 1 shot silenced pistol and everyone else had normal weapons and anytime the invisible person shot they showed up as red for a split second.... so they had to assasinate people and not be shot XP Wish a FPS game brought that back XP Can't remember what it's called Freeze Tag was very popular, played that a bunch... something about the maps just made it flow really well... very slow paced and sneaky XP Tug of War which I believe was a gamemode in the extension packs... loved playing that too... spearhead and breakthrough maps I remember some of them but others never really got much attention on the servers so some came up more than others but definitely base game maps are iconic... so sad to see the state of game-making now and the lack of support for modding, custom servers etc... I also remember when Pacific Assault came out I remember it looked so realistic to me XP My computer back then couldn't run it lol. EA need to pull their head out of their ass and revive the franchise.... but after the newest Battlefield game I think they just prefer killing them lol.

MOHAA and Battlefield 2 for me will always be the best MP games of all time. Back before EA destroyed both series such a sad state of gaming these days are at least we still have the old classics that never age gameplay wise. So many amazing memories playing Allied Assault and BF2 the early to mid 00's where the golden years for gaming in general IMO.

I will never forget being accepted into a clan after a trial in a private server on this game, I was about 13 and the clan was MSPB Mad Bad Scottish Peeps they let let me join and said s for Scottish could stand for scouse too because I was good.
