I lost my dear mother September 2007 and I can hear her tearing this song up. She is from Mississippi so should I say anymore. Heaven has a jewel, I thank God for my mother introducing us to God at a young age because I couldn't see past her death. Thank you Lord.

I too have been searching for this song for years. I remember having this CD and listening to this song all of the time. I believe this is her first CD after leaving New Life. The words mean so much more to me now that I am many, many years older and have more life experience. "When darkness gather and friends forsake me, Jesus will never let me down" HALLELUJAH JESUS!!!!

This song Jesus Orecious King was recorded when I was a young girl in the 1950's I can't remember the artist but it was Before Beverly Crawford. She does an Amazing job but the second verse was omitted !! I Love her singing now but I wondered who the first artist was !!
