@rotaractclubsggscc92653 жыл бұрын
I have not even seen him talking about the general nexus of capital and college admissions let alone his personal privilege. This comes as a disappointment because his content is pretty good with a decently large following.
@ManishKumar-id1ny3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate his efforts in documenting his insights about college admissions which tbh are very useful. But let's not surround ourselves with impregnable bubbles of privilege and elitism. It is imperative for someone like him to address the issues around affordability and private education in the US.
@nannunannu27383 жыл бұрын
Exactly we cannot impose an oblivion to the most obvious factors that govern college admissions- "ability to afford"! I love his content but most of it is made under the subtle assumption that college admissions are a democratic affair. I would like to see more conversations around intergenerational wealth and general affordability- something that dominantly governs our decisions to apply abroad. Apologies, if this may have come out rude or insensitive.
@ShauryaSinha3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thanks for clarifying you didn't mean to be rude - I actually appreciate that a lot. My journey to Stanford has definitely been considerably easier because of my background but the idea behind my videos was to bridge that gap in information just by a little bit. You're right though - I should and will do a better job of discussing affordability and college applications. Next week, I'm interviewing a student who got into Dartmouth with almost Full Financial Aid - so stay tuned!

@@ShauryaSinha hey Shaurya! Is it possible if you can interview Ritam Nag and Aditya Khurmi of MIT 2025? They are really inspiring science students. If you do, can you ask them if they gave APs etc?
