Greetings from New York City-------------It was good that you gave a lathering demonstration from the shaving scuttle by The Mud Place, but would have preferred a side-by-side comparison to the Crown King scuttle, using the same type and amount of soap, the same amount and temperature of water, and the same brush,

Does the Crown King keep the lather warm longer because of the stopper? Doesn't the Mud shop scuttle lose heat through the open spout?

Alan Thanks for watching! Yes, the lather does stay warm for a three pass shave and my scuttle was the standard size, not the larger one... There’s plenty of room work it up!!

Wow, quick reply! Thanks Tony. Their site's a little confusing. The have the "Big Daddy" and the "large capacity big daddy" and in two pictures of different color "large capacity big daddies" one looks exactly like yours and the other is completely different in number of horizontal ridges. I'll have to call them and ask some questions I think. But I do love the bowl and your explanation as to how it works.

Yes 3 passes for standard size normal or super/uber lather using glycerin. Then redo again if you gonna use for others part as well aside face enough for 3 passes of shaving brushes once again standard size
