Maybe he didn't really understand it, or maybe he doesn't really like time travel stories like that. That ep of AOT when zeke and eren finally touched made great use of time "loops"/ circles to further enhace eren's character and the story, but also added much needed context to all the foreshadowing. It could have been made easier to understand, but I like that AOT doesn't hold your hand and explain everything.

I dont completely agree. I thought the timeskip was great, marley arc was fantastic. It really gave the show a much-needed transformation and added so much more nuance to their enemies besides just being random titans but where it truly fell off for me was after the rumbling.

Accurate list, I would put HXH way lower though.. This is the type of show that’s catered towards 16 and younger.. I promise you if your 20+ rewatching start to end is equivalent to slowly cutting your fingers… Sht pacing, too much exposition, fights were not that great considering it’s a shonen. It was good to me until I re watched 4 years later, this show did not age well at all

Pacing is not the best ESPECIALLY in chimera ant arc, but it has a top 3 power system that's so well written and well defined that there's never a moment where characters get random power boosts or pull random shit out their asses. It also has some of shonen's best villains in Chrollo and Meruem and it has some pretty strong character writing overall.
