Kinda sympathize with him. I'm also lgbt and was neglected by my parents from birth. Mom was a drug addict that OD/died when I was 8 and dad was an alcoholic that was never home. Zero emotional support...ever. Of course, I inherited an addictive personality and emulated them by starting weed in 8th grade and tried about every other drug since. Aside from my sister, everyone in my family is dead. I'm a failure, living in my car...although it's been a year since I've used any drugs or alcohol.

I’ve been promised before because I talked to a supposedly confidential youth worker and told her my foster parent would drink and party and be verbally abusive. I didn’t know she was that foster parent’s drinking buddy. I was a super easy kid. The youth worker just asked me why I was having trouble in school and I said it was hard to get any homework done with all the chaos in the house. I was used to chaos at home…I didn’t even know I was supposedly telling on someone. Since then, I was never able to get a shelter or housing placement and other workers would say that I had been reported as doing all kind of bad things I didn’t. The foster parent had said, “Don’t duck with my money, but she didn’t say duck. S/he was later caught embezzling a lot of money from the service organization she worked for and abusing other clients. I mean legally held responsible. So these things do happen.

This ones a little different, he has a really strong victim's mentality, i sympathize with all the hardships he's been dealt in life but he will never improve his situation until he realizes that its his life to improve. Useing lifes hardships as excuses to smoke meth is the path of least resistance in his head, time to own it n figure out step by step how to move foward

This isn't well said. Everyone has a vice. No matter who you are, you have something in your life not right for it that you should quit. Whether that's drugs, eating, or being around the wrong people. Everyone has something they can't just wake up and get over. There's an underlying issue that needs to be cured first.

Im sure he needs a break but he is looking for help from everyone but himself.. I know he needs support I get that but everyone knows the system doesnt work well to get help for most people.. I think he just needs someone to talk to and a bit of mentor to tell him that hes young hes going to have to work little bit to get on his feet and do wait for no system og Govt to help you regardless if they should be or not.. Sometimes I feel like if people just could get a bus ticket to a new town far away they could start over it may give them the motivation to do better and it gets them away from that familiar place where you are comfortable in a way being homeless and using drugs..
