This album is definitely a grower. It’s not gonna be for everyone but I think we can all agree that he really gave versatility with this album. You can really see him experimenting and exploring his sound as an artist and a lot of people will be shocked at the change especially compared to the rest of his discography but it’s so nice to see him free himself of peoples expectations and just create a body of work that he loves ❤️

Listening to the album it definitely didn’t feel like he was chasing a #1 hit song like “lost in japan” or “treat you better” which is another reason why I think people may have been disappointed and felt that it was lacking but starting young in the industry there definitely was a pressure for him to create songs with great marketability and now that he’s older he’s starting explore his true sound

305 is definitely my favourite! I feel like it’s such an underrated song in my opinion because it’s a sad song in its lyrics, but it’s upbeat in its music and it makes you feel mixed emotions and I just think the song is amazing.

The album did not do as good as his last because I feel like his lead single was not the strongest. Don’t get me wrong Wonder is one of my favorite songs from him but I feel like if Teach Me How To Love was the lead single it would’ve gained more popularity. Also him doing a song with Justin was a bad idea. A lot of people do not like Justin as a singer and as a person and I feel like a lot of people boycotted this album because of that. I will always support Shawn no matter what because I’ve been with him sense the beginning and he’s my favorite male artist. I feel bad for him because this masterpiece of an album should’ve been more popular.
