Keep jungle wrestling experienced vets like Shaun Spears , jungle boy excels when he is with an experienced guy compared to the younger performers, I think if Jack does a shit ton of matches with experienced wrestlers for him to learn as he definitely has what it takes but I think he performs so much better when against an experienced appointment.

Good point, take any sport, Boxing's my favorite, there are boxers the past 140 years who either never won a single title or maybe had one for a super short time, but were still very admirable solid fighters competitive worked very hard, even journeyman guys who had countless losses but likewise same thing, if everyone was a all time great or an elite then no one would be ya know. No shame in it, Shawn Spears is a very solid very good mid level card wrestler its likely what he will continue to be, I just hope he can get as many matches as he wants and wins at least good portion of them and does well in defeat. If more then that happens then awesome as well!.

None, and thats fine, not every athlete is some legend or all time great, most are not, if they all were then no one would be special or an elite or all time great, he's a very solid good mid level card solid wrestler, and thats a fine fine thing, There are boxers right now like Dereck Chisora has 12-13 losses overall record something like 29-12 or 30-13 a true battle tested veteran, and even though he has indeed lost over a dozen times, most of those losses were also to the elite or best in the division and a couple of them he even won or were controversial against guys considered- and who overall were/are- better than him, it's called being a throwback and it's a impressive thing, no Spears isn't quite like that but same general principle.

You know, just once, I'd like to see Tony Khan book his main event storylines with some unpredictability. A dub for Spears there would have done way more good for him than it would have hurt Perry. It slows down the breakneck speed MJF and Perry are moving, meaning the story can marinate while Perry recovers from the loss (a little side quest, if you will). It puts Spears in a position to make a challenge to MJF. Or let Spears challenge Darby. Etc etc. TL:DR- Great match, but standard AEW booking. No one doubted that Perry was going to win, so there was no real emotional investment.

Shawn just had a baby so he needs time off, so we kinda understand that he rarely appears and jobbed to everyone. Shawn had all the makings of star with his promo and killer theme, sure his wrestling was the thing that he needs to improve the most but he's not even that bad in-ring skill wise, hopefully they'll give him a push with one of the lower titles and return his old badass theme.
