Absolutely hilarious scene of Marcia on the Brady Bunch Movie (Alicia Silverstein) where they play this song as marina wake by the HS guys in mini skirt as they stand there drooling and jaw dropped.) Would like them to react to Washington Phillip's A Mother's Last Words to Her Son. He was a poor street preacher (born in 1880) in about 1920s who played an instrument that was like a child's piano. He wrote and performed that song and another good one. The song used in movie We Have to Talk About Kevin. Haunting and profound. LOVE to see you feature it.

When my dad was in the military back in the 70's and I went to high school in Holland One day I was walking with some friends and we heard a band playing so we went to go check it out. It was at a Park and ito our surprise it was Shocking Blue playing there . We had a good time. And it was free to the public

Mel, this is a Dutch band and the lead singer Mariska learned the lyrics phoenetically. She was supposed to say " A goddess on a mountain top." and said a godness on a mountain top. Fun fact the original version of the melody was performed by Mama Cass called “The Banjo Song”. You’ll immediately recognize the melody but if you went to school in the USA anytime after 1900 you will certainly have learned a song in elementary school named “Oh Susannah”, which is the basis of this song.
