To this day, this is the voice of Sherlock Holmes in my head whenever I read one of the stories. A classic from young elementary school days.

I really give the writers credit for being able to find a way to use the five pips story on a kid's show! Much respect!

Cartoons finally found a true path to animation. Johnny Quest was my favorite animation and this one reminds me of its it so much. Excellent series. We need more like these intelligent episodes.

i nearly thought it was a flashback from sherlocks "old" life

This one was great. It illustrates the probable future form of racism well ,and tells what was a confusing tale in the original to children in an interesting fashion.

I find it interesting that these anti-tech folks pretend to be from the 19th century and they reject modern technology, while Sherlock is actually from that era and he seems to just accept that the technology exists and that it can be useful if used intelligently. It’s a good contrast.

The 1800's could honestly be said to be the place where the scientific revolution really kicked off, making their Luddite focus on that era particularly ironic.

Interesting theme in this. Wow, that was a wild car chase. Close one in the finale. Good ep. And I enjoyed the ones w/comments disabled. Thanks.

I wish Moriarty was more of a threat in this show.
@EponasArchangel5 жыл бұрын
The way I see it, aside from the makers wanting to keep this "kid friendly", Moriarty doesn't just want to kill Holmes, he wants to DEFEAT him. As for not being a threat to others, it's just Holmes he's after, he only goes after other people if they get in his way or have something he wants anything else is just a waste of his time.

It also doesn't help that this is the series' "Racism is bad, mmkay?" episode. If you don't believe me, compare with the original story. I was contemplating it this afternoon and it hit me.

Why did you completely ignore the title of the show?!? It says “22nd century “! Yes, the source material is dated from the turn of the century (19th to 20th), but it’s been “modernized “ for this show and the focus groups (within universe) are an allusion of preservation groups that have been a thing since even before the 1960s(give or take)! The core of the original story remains(better or worse), but it has been adapted for what this show is going for. If you are not a fan of futuristic toons, go back to the books or find an adaptation more suited for your liking Or better yet, make your own adaptation
