Shawn I just tried setting up with my intermediate target and got my weight arm unit hanging n b4 I pulled the trigger I BLURRED the ball. I allowed my head to turn away and the swing was fluid as I was thinking about the target and that blurred (more peripheral I suppose) path. Was definitely not ball bound cuz I wasnt focused on it. Opened up my swing big time. Cant wait to try on gc. Your club blur advice gave me the idea. It's like I keep my head back much easier n just release for the finish. Much hope this is my thang I can Q on

Yes, the “arc blur unstoppable momentum series” on our premium channel is all about that! When you stay with the direction of arc-blur, the head will naturally stay in place to accommodate that! Without thinking!

Hey Shawn, playing my best golf in 23 with cut the grass. I understand this concept, however, when you're hitting out to the right with a closed face do I want my shoulder line pointing to the right also? Thanks again
@golflessons9 ай бұрын
Your shoulders, hips and knees, all except for the feet, end up pointing there yes! What you want to feel however is that the momentum of the swing WANTS TO FEED THAT WAY BY IT’S OWN SELF; and you are allowing it to stay that way!

Did you also watch Phil warm up on the range? He was also talking table tennis top spin release and how to work the ball.

Nice! Good for him! 👍😀

Hi Shawn after closing the club, when I address the ball where should the club face be pointing, right of target or at target. Am a member of your premium channel. You should do a close up of the clubface at address in relation to the intermediate point. Will remove a lot of confusion. Regards
@golflessons9 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment and feedback Lokesh! The club face at address can point anywhere literally; what matters is when you LET THE CLUB RELEASE YOU IN THE DIRECTION YOU WANT TO START THE BALL that the ball will move in the air the way you want it to. It is the dynamic collect and release of the club that matters. Some do well when they square the club and some don’t; some prefer to see the club face closed. DO NOT FALL PREY TO WHAT YOU SEE IN A STATIC POSITION AT ADDRESS. You need to feel what the weight of the club will do to your anatomy when you let it release into the direction of flight.

Maybe a silly question: so when you close the club face and hit out to the right, does your grip have to be strong or neutral?
@golflessons9 ай бұрын
It is a grip-club relationship; closed face and neutral grip is the same as square face and strong grip or a bit of both; what matters is when you deliver your action in the direction you want to start the ball that the ball curves in the air the way you want to WITHOUT INTERFERENCE and seamlessly!

I'm at the point where I get the big curve to the left but it's always a pull draw or hook. I can't seem so get my path to go from in to out, how do I get that part of my swing in order?

How are your feet lined up for this? A little right too?

You can actually go with either one; square with ball back in the stance or diagonal stance; see “diagonal stance series” on our premium channel for one option and the other option you will find in the “working the ball” video.

You guys were discussing Brock Purdy on the pod and his salary. He signed a 4 year rookie scale deal after being drafted. He has 2 more years on that contract before the 49ers would have to pay him starters money. So there will be no raise just because they made the Super Bowl.

Purdy made $961,782 this season. Mahomes made $58,608,269 this season

Are your feet parallel to target or are you turned to the right?
@golflessons9 ай бұрын
Can be either one; what matters is the arc of the swing going to the right of the intermediate point and the face of the club closed enough that it will come back; most never close the face enough!
@kenhenley39049 ай бұрын
So never EVER hit any shot without an intermediate point. Ok that seems to be a critical point to everything and I get that. Also, there really is no such thing as a straight shot? Well no, I mean every shot has a little movement is probably a more accurate statement. Question is do you employ this notion of curving shots on shorter shots? Pitch shots? Do we employ a strong grip on shorter shots and pitch shots? Or just a "less" strong but strong nonetheless?
@golflessons9 ай бұрын
OK!! Let’s go with the questions! 😀👍 yes, every shot has movement and you want to be the one choosing this and not leaving it to pure luck! So you choose to hit a “straight fade” or a “straight draw” which you will see players on tour’s body languages correlating to their shot shapes! No on the pitch and chip for curvature as there is simply not enough spin. I have had an incredible breakthrough with 50 yard pitch shots with my most recent super strong grip! Stay tuned on that! On chipping and putting it’s not necessary but can easily be adapted. The next 2 series on our premium channel are going to blow a big lid off the teaching industry and take our students to new heights big time so make sure you are in there!
