Shawn, a little trivia for you. The drummer for this band, Robert Nix, played drums on Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Tuesdays Gone" from their first album.

Damn! Another great one! Yep I’m decades older than u. Best music ever came out in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s! So freakin cool to relive my younger days experiencing this with u and other reactions! I get out of my head by jumping on KZbin and cranking this sh** up! Love it!

I'm not normally a fan of covers but his one from The Classics IV is excellent.

I agree 100%. They kept all the good parts, just embellished and updated it. Blessings all.

2 of the guys from the Classics 5 were in ARS, so not so much a cover as just bringing their own song to the new band

🌸 I've been traveling this journey with you for quite a while now, and I just wanted to take a second to say that I wish you all the success in the world and hoping that you can become sufficient here and not even have to have another job anywhere else. I enjoy your channel and I think you do a great job!

These guys were the best studio guys in Atlanta before forming ARS. No runts. And Ronnie Hammonds voice was sublime. RIP, guys. Thank You.

Shawn you mention wishing some of the short radio friendly length songs could be played longer and that is what some groups did in their live shows. Unrestrained by the radio format groups might have 3 minute song extended to double or more when performed live. Guess Who comes to mind they extended American Women to over 17 minutes on their live album called Live At The Paramount.

The original is awesome but this has always been my favorite rendition. ARS was tight!

I have a cover suggestion. ‘She’s Not There’ by Santana. Original from the Zombies. 😊

ARS does not get the acclaim they deserve. So good.

I was at their New Year's Eve Champagne Jam in 1978. The Guess Who opened. What a fantastic night of music that was!

Shawn, good reaction, makes me think of Halloween. Suggest:...."Psycho killer" by Talking Heads...."Creature from the black lagoon" by Dave Edmunds....."Pet cemetery" by Ramones..... " Sort of haunted house" by Too much joy

Hi Shawn!!! You could play ANY ARS song from at least the "a rock and roll alternative" or "Champagne Jam", and you would be HAPPY!!!! I would like to give you these requests/suggestions: First, from ARRA, "Don't Miss the Message" From "Champagne Jam", "Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight" And also form ARRA, "Large Time". Be sure to pay attention to the lyrics - which I KNOW you always do, but, I'm just sayin' 😉 Looking forward to your reactions for ARS!!

The instrumentation on this covers sounds better than "The Classic Four's" version, but the vocal doesn't measure up to the original(my opinion only)

There are some covers I prefer to the originals, but this isn’t one. There is a certain cuteness and innocence in the original-a feeling of intimacy- that’s lost in this version. The ARS version has much more of a rock feel to it. It’s really good for what it is, but lacks that 60s charm.
