That song had always sounded to me almost like a painting but with glorious sounds instead of glorious colours. It's a masterpiece. Also from the same album, you will no doubt enjoy "If 6 Was 9", "Castles Made Of Sand" and the sublime "Little Wing".

I listened to it it tripping in like 2010 and I started seeing colors when the solo came in. I didn’t know it was a thing so it happened independent of anyone else’s experience.

Ned from Spain stopping by once again especially since it's a classic Hendrix tune. Jimi Hendrix had so many types of songs and did it all so beautifully you could dive in anywhere but I think you should start at the beginning. Some his "love songs" are May This Be Love, Angel, One Rainy Wish, Little Wing, Wait Until Tomorrow but he also did ballads as well as straight up funk, hard rock, blues and the way way out psych. He was a total master . I've always loved the production of this LP Axis Bold as Love especially as I''m a drummer and Mitch sounds amazing. By the way the " phasing " effect at the end of the song was done through manipulating the physical tape while running simultaneous machines. A masterpiece of engineering.

His first album burned all the way through. Try "Third Stone From the Sun". Something only Jimi could do. Mitch Mitchell was an insane drummer and somehow perfect for him. This strangely beautiful song perfectly captures the late 60's vibe. I listen to it and things start to glow

If sic, sic, 6 was 9! 56 years old still timeless can stand up to today's music. Not many can produce, direct, mix, edit, tweak, phase, overdub, flange, pan and of course play piano, glockenspiel, violin, bass, electric, acoustic guitar and sing. There can be only one Jimi, well maybe the other Jimmy, however I may be biased.

One of my favorite JH songs both for the lyrics and the music. Yes, it is a love song - he's being bold as love - professing his love to the other person - and then they take off together. Give a listen to If 6 Was 9, another great song from this LP.

Bought this album when it was first released, never stopped loving every track on it. If you want a suggestion for next, try "Are you Experienced" (the track not the whole album! unless you want the whole album of course). Another fave of mine has always been "Highway Chile". Oh, and thanks for turning the volume up, Jimi should always be played loud.

Jimi's music, is like, Mozart, Beethoven, or Chopin....So different than all the others😂That guy was an alien😂Thanks to react to so much good music... Jimi is not a rock musician, the guy is in the top 5 of better musicians, composers, in human history😂....And, what is really, funny, is that you, or your followers, as young peoples, making the effort to discover that kind of music, you, even, didn't heard 1% of what Jimi createdPeIt's not human 😂....Thanks for your channel....Peace from France ✌️ ❤
