in this video I describe how I have my On3 Shays DCC Decoders currently set up, and how I operate and program my TCW UWT-100 Throttle.

You are a great salesman for TCS Steam!

A great run down of the decoder features and functionality. Excellent sound in an excellent model. Well worth the investment in finishing off the model with a quality decoder install.

I like your way of thinking (and operating) your steam loco...throttling down to reduce the chuff. Just like reducing the throttle of a diesel, which I can do even going along level track. Get up to speed, notch back that throttle... That whistle....😁👍 8:50 and onwards....👍👍👍

This video is great. I was having issues with chuff on my Heisler below speed step 35. While watching your video I realized my Johnson bar needed to be adjusted.

😂😂 Johnson’s everywhere…..sorry old movie.

I use Scale Sound Systems Speakers in the boiler of all the brass models I work on as the boiler also acts as a secondary speaker housing to get more of that natural base amplified more. I love them and I'm never turning back, but I like ESU Loksound V5 and I do a lot of audio editing and upload them to decoder projects I make.

Gr8 video thanks. Can't you use the bemf to automatically change volume and timbre - rather than the Johnson bar setting?

Yes, you can let it be automatic, the first only time I move it is when I am going down grade. My down grade is a long enough that sometimes it starts to chuff again
