My dear brother, this is Islam, rules are not derived by philosophical or punch dialogue. We all have to be matured enough to understand ruling regarding anything is derived from Qur'an and Sunnah as understood by the Salaf-as-Salih, primarily the Jama'ah of the Prophetﷺ and the Sahaba. Here he didn't even quote any understanding from the Salaf. Go and get rulings regarding these issue from Scholars who quote the kitab of Allah and the sunnah of the Rasoolﷺ. And even logically as he derived the ruling using logic, it is so weak claim. According to him, if there is a school which teaches unislamic stuff and a school which teach Islamic stuffs in UK, we should be going to place where unIslamic stuff is taught, or else it would be a defeated mentality. I don't know how his followers can digest these. And he is belittling a great act of worship (hijara), sacrifice for the sake of Allah with all these cliche dialogue. Ultimately those who don't want to make big changes and live defeated under the kuffar country as outsiders and wants the deen as diluted as possible, they don't care about what Allah and His Rasoolﷺ taught. I'm not claiming the commenter or the person in video is that, which can be or not, but definitely the statements made are clearly indicating it and we all have to fear Allah.

Defeated mentality for sure I reverted 14 years ago born and raised in the uk, its exactly how you want things to be even from a non Muslim background my mindset was always Build a society together whatever your belief system is. I have a sister in Saudi with children now in teens the situation there is far worst as Arabs are not only leaving islam but they are wanting to be more western than westerners so they can be respected by the west. Also home schooling in the UK is still legal and a option its not hard at all. We're talking about one of the greatest acts of worship that exist on top of being a sunnah. Having problems when making hijrah is not the exception it's the norm and has always been. Staying no matter what in a land of kufr is statistically a guarantee of Islam being lost after a few generations. Whether we're talking marriage, Iman, hijrah, you will be tested. It's a promise of Allah. And as bad as the 'westernization process' in the arab world gets, It still has a very long way to go before turning into the actual thing. Not even remotely comparable. Also the Arab world is not the entire world. I lived in 4 of the 6 continents, Allah made this planet vast enough. The truth and the Irony is that most of the people refusing to do hijra when it becomes a necessity (those with the means to do so) get very uncomfortable because of all the self reflection the mention of it brings... In the end Allah is the one who will judge people's true intentions. Hijra Or Not. So please let's help our case by being extremely honest with ourselves. This dunyua is way too short. Hadith you'll have to find it of salman Al farsi "verily it's not the land that's determines belief but its the heart" very broken translation .. which seems very logical. I feel very uneasy because they’re so many ahadith that talk about living amongst non Muslims, Surah Nisa Verse 94, the brain drain from our countries and the long term effects of that, our focus on establishing ourselves here where they’ll never be pleased with us as Allah said in Surah baqarah. Assalamo alaikum wa rahmatAllahi wa barakatu. The storm that is coming will render many of future generations confused about their gender. The education system is hell bent on forcing this filth down the throats of everyone. If someone thinks they will be able to stop this by re education Islamic values will find tremendous problems. Young children (5 year olds) going back to school telling their teachers, they don't believe in calling Ahmed, Sumaiya and don't accept boys marrying boys, because their parents have told them Muslims don't believe in that, will see Prevent type inquisitions taking place. The recent Prevent review now points to attacking the "extremist ideas" which lead to "terrorism". Many learned commentators have concluded this to mean an attack on the core beliefs of Islam. Please understand the gravity of this indoctrination. The Kuffar go for the long haul. There was a programme on Al Jazeera which followed the stories of Muslims from Lebanon, Palestine who had emigrated to South America. The sister in question mentioned, how out of 25 cousins, 15 had left Islam and had become Christian. This is quite shocking. This probably would not have happened had they stayed in the Muslim countries. Its true we don't have an Islamic State, but we have to agree, these states are not mandating the indoctrination of filth in young children.

Hijrah is one of the most steepest self-development journeys and it is in human nature to be frightened by major changes, however when you are doing it for the sake of Allah, your heart is at ease knowing that its purpose and plan will lead you closer to Allah SWT and a step closer to Jannah inshaaAllah. This world is temporary, we need to be pragmatic in deciding how to safeguard our Deen over everything else. Allah SWT will never overburden someone, Hijrah should be done if plausible and at the very least it should be an intention!

Majority of muslims in their 20s are unmarried and men marrying back home isn't a new phenomenon but now we're hearing about men making hijrah to get married with no plans to return to the UK because they know they have nothing to gain here.

You have responsibilities if you have kids, wife, family, etc. To put them in a bad situation intentionally, to hurt their chance of growing up in their own home, it does not do good for your Deen or their Deen. There is a lot of problems that come from poverty and oppression also. You can’t just say Hijra is an answer… if you go to Muslim countries and see the oppression people over there accept in various places (I’m talking about Pakistan and Saudia), then you would realize it’s not always the case that moving there is better for Deen.

However there is an issue that presents. You need critical mass in order to allow a fee to be plausible for all types of retail customers. I used to listen to sheikh haitham before them i found his views has changed over years. I don't agree with his regarding hijrah. Hijrah will continue until qiyamah. There is mo comparison with a muslim land to a non muslim land. I believe sheikh himself doesn't want to move. Sheikh dr muhamamd salah moved and he has a video in youtube why he moved. O stopped listen to sheikh haitham long ago

While I do respect Sheikh and the knowledge he comes with but I do not agree with his explanation on the Hijra. There are so many shocking facts and figures that we see for living in the west we have hundreds of thousands of Muslims living in the west who are Muslims just by name, they don’t know a single word about Islam and what makes it worse is the Dajjal’s big movements that are LGB…., interest-Riba and feminism. There are verses of Quran and Sayings of Prophet Muhammad PBUH that discourages living in a non Islamic society. No matter what challenges we have in Islamic countries you can never compare them with western non Islamic countries. Allah SWT knows best. Peace.

Depends on which non Muslim place or Muslim place you are talking about..... Poland or Korea isnt Islamic, but London is a more Islamic place to live in than Beirut or Casablanca. There are Muslim countries where there is a lot of Fahisha in public and the govt is oppressive as well. If you go to Madinah yes it will be Hijrah. But going to a place like Beirut or Dubai or Damascus you wont find much "Islam" there, and on top of that yoy will get many of the fawahish of the west (Except the lgbt bit)

There are a lot of Muslims in Muslim countries who don't even know the basics of Islam or even pray. You could say Muslims in the west probably have more access to authentic understanding of Islam compared to the deviant beliefs in the Muslim world.

I understand the sheikh's point and appreciate it but can we please stop always using the 'Africa is poor trope'? It really is off-putting and fosters racism. My kids have to hear enough of this stuff from average Muslims at the masjid and school. There are several poor areas around the world outside Africa and even poorer than many African countries.

Definitely is a repeated trope that shows ignorance. How a continent with 54 countries can be defined universally is humorous and says a lot about the describer than what they are describing. Anyway, ignorance can only be healed by humility and knowledge. We need to take our families to these places and show them how enriched these places are, they may not have all the hi-tech infrastructure but they have communities and strong values Alhamdullilah, they are mostly living far more joyously and content than ourselves in the West who stress about bills, Fitnah and consumerism. A valuable lesson to teach our kids (and ourselves): That money has no part of the process of being enriched.
