He's not your child so it should not be up to you. They make that choice because that's what they thought was right. You don't have to think it is

They didn't want him to be the youngest kid in his class, when actually he would be one of the oldest because most kindergartens accept kids that are 4 if their birthday is before December 1st. They would be considered transitional kindergarten but it would make him one of the older kids and honestly they should have put him in school but they did the same with emmi, That's why she is 8 in 1st grade. And Gavin is going to be 13 and he's still at 6th grader when he could be an 8th grader really...

I'll probably do the same with my son. depending on how he does in preschool. I don't want him to be the last one to develop and grow and he will probably have a better attention span if I start him later. but we will see! I may change my mind! lol...
