Another tip is if there is no Uber in your immediate area, drop the pin in a more populated area. Then text the driver the situation that you're stuck in the mountains without a ride home. Most drivers will come get you. But be sure to give a hefty TIP and 5 STARS.

I travel and use Uber as much as I can. Cashless and no having to worry about taxi drivers not being able to card... it's 2015... my fruit lady at the farmer market takes card with her phone, why can a taxi driver? Oh... because they want to run the meter up driving to an ATM where I have to pay a $4 surcharge for a public ATM and my bank charges me another $3 for not using one there's, TAXI SUCKS!!!!
