One thing I enjoyed the most about this years Christmas special is that while your financial gain made an impact, it was in the most beautiful way. You were able to afford more but not just in material possessions, in love as well. Your family is growing day by day and the happiness and love being shared throughout you guys is amazing. It's not about the gifts, it's about the happiness you guys get in your eyes seeing your family happy. Thank you for sharing your Christmas Day because they always remind me that happiness is key in all aspects of life. God bless you all

Guys just because someone is fortunate enough to be able to afford all that does not automatically mean they're spoiled... keep in mine just years ago they were at the complete other end and could barely afford a place to live, I'm sure its nice for them to be able to do this for their kids. I just want to say thank you so much Shay for uploading such a good Xmas special today. I had a horrible Xmas because of my crappy family who basically ignored each other all day. I spent almost the entire day in my room depressed, waiting for the Xmas special cuz I knew that it would make me happy! I love seeing your kids so happy with their presents. I'm 19 now and wish my parents would still put an effort into Xmas like they did when I was younger. Please never stop doing this for your kids, no matter how old they are, trust me it means the world to them, even if they don't realize it now!

I love the Christmas specials because they're all filled with joy,happiness and amazing memories. It warmed my heart when I saw shay give out $300 you're an amazing,humble human being shay. Also I've seen a lot of people complain at how spoilt the kids are, its the time of year where kids get a lot of presents its not like shay does it all the time; both shay and collette are amazing parents who have done a good job at teaching there children to be grateful for things and to appreciate the little things in life. Just my personal opinion but I find it ignorant when people say the kids shouldn't get that many presents and that they're spoiled. Shay has done a good job of teaching the kids humility, compassion, and gratitude. They are not spoiled. There are a lot of people who don't get as many presents; trust me, I know. We were always very poor growing up. But that's not their life. They have the opportunity and the means to provide entertainment for their kids and why the heck not! Shay isn't poor and he should be allowed to lavish his kids. In the SAME vlog he gave 300 dollars to give out to people in need. He didn't need to do that. I feel that people just speak out in jealousy.

Before I watch this I want to say thank you Shay for getting the vlog up so early. I know in the past you've spoken about how hard it is to edit, process, & upload a video. Also thank you guys for being you! This year has been challenging for me. I walked out of an abusive relationship, lost my dog, lost my grandfather & mother, & my uncle has cancer. It's been hard but watching your videos keep me going! You're such a good example of having faith & working hard. I hope you & your family enjoy your holiday in your new lovely home! I read your comment and i felt badly that i myself struggled through this Christmas for i had to put to rest my 13 yo chihuahua bubba bear who i got when i was my mom's caregiver when she had a stroke leaving her paralyzed on her left side. When i put her to bed at night she became very afraid even tho i had set up my bed next to hers. They called it sundowners much like Alzheimer's. So if i put bubba on her bed she became less afraid. So losing him was like losing a part of her all over again. Plus i had 10 teeth pulled the wk prior to bubba passing. So when i saw all that u had been thru my heart went out to you. I hope you stay strong and are able to know that through the darkness there will be light. Tho we are strangers i will remember u in my prayers. 2015 will bring you new beginnings so focus on that. Again i'm so sorry for all your losses. Oh and don't be like me and ho back to the abusive relationship. The person never changes no matter what they promise you!! Xoxo

I earn $30,000 per year as a teacher and find great joy in giving during the holiday season... at least that amount. Your Christmas special gave me Christmas Cheer. This hasn't been the best Christmas for me because my dad lost his job a couple days before Christmas and we were already running tight on money so I told my parents to just send my Christmas present money on my little sister and littler brother. So all I got for Christmas was a box of chocolates. But I'm okay with that because my sidlings were happy with their presents.
